Placita Supermarket — Attraction in Daytona Beach

Way over priced on their food items compared to Walmart, Save A Lot and Alldi's. For example a 8 pack of Powerade is only $5.00 or $4.98 at walmart and even less at other stores. They were trying to charge me $8.00 dollars. I think the owner needs to be a little careful over charging people. You never know who is going to visit your store. Also selling expired food or not redusing the price is going to come back and bite you one day. I guess some people arnt either paying attention when shopping their or they just dont care. I like the Placita Supermarket... it's my bodega away from home. As a NY'er, I am accustomed to buying more ethnic ingredients at my local bodega. The first thing I asked when I moved to FL is, "where is the local bodega?" and I was pointed to the Placita. They haven't failed me yet, if I need a down-home ingedient of any kind for a pernil, bacalao con viandas, pasteles, carne guisada, etc., they have it.
