Check in December 12th in the evening lobby floor has salt on it, which is understandable for Michigan during this time of year. Couldn't see the front desk agent. Because she was sitting in the corner by the window, watching her. TV, her first response was here reservation, tell me no smoking in the room.I said I understand that.I've done hotel hospitality for thirty eight years once checked in and then entry into my room with my daughter and my grandson first thing I do as an old housekeeper supervisor director that I used to be I. Checked a room for cleansiness. The bed closer to the window had somebody else's hair In it, there was cream cheese. Left in the refrigerator from the guest before us, and there was Trash, underneath the nightstand a plastic container and a tin thing. During our stay from the 12 to the 18th, the only thing that we got from the housekeepers is trash removed and towels. I had to make my own beds, change my own sheets, they never vacuumed. We asked them the night before we left. Could they vacuum our room? The housekeeper looked and was like, oh okay. The bathroom is never cleaned during our stay. The toilet was never cleaned out nor the tub or sink was wiped out. Nothing was wipe down or dust The headboards pictures had dust so bad my child could stop sneezeing Trash was in the room staff during the day was unfriendly. But the only time that I seen the girl that was actually checked me in Standing up was the day that the owner was there. When they were doing inspection, they never put on their website that their pool, was out and it closed, and when I asked about it. Yeah, it's closed. It needs a part. Breakfast was cold and limited i was up durning the time they came out with the food. The dryer did not dry your clothes when I told the front desk agent someone that checked me in said nothing just nodded. The halls where dirty nothing dusted off stains of not sure what on walls in hallway this place reminded me from something you would see in the hood with drug dealers in it I would never stay. During my check out when a guest says they are checking out most hotel would say I hope you enjoyed your stay would you like a receipt, I got okay, thank you. I had to ask for my receipt was not asked if I enjoyed my stay. Nothing this is the worst hotel. I have ever came encounter within my 38 years of hotel hospitality. This belongs in hood hotel in Detroit somewhere. Because this is not the place to stay. Unless you wanna sell drugs out of it.

We stayed here while visiting family in the area. We chose the hotel because it had a pool and was in a good location. It was a TERRIBLE experience. We were there for 3 days. The room itself smelled. The tub had a gross, thick, yellow ring around the bottom (see picture). The A/C unit was decades old and made a very loud rattling sound. It also made the room very humid, but if we turned it off, it got too hot (even though it was 30 degrees outside). The bathroom was SO tiny, and the air vent above the toilet dripped water. The bed wasn’t uncomfortable, but it creaked every time we moved. Our toddler was also sleeping in the room, and this would wake him up often. There was a lot of construction going on inside the hotel, which we were not aware of when we booked the room. There were workers coming and going constantly. There was loud banging throughout the day, which made it impossible for my toddler to nap in our room. Also, the clothes dryer was not functional (see picture). Its door was ripped completely off. When I asked the front desk manager for change so I could do laundry (I specifically said, “for the washer and dryer”), he didn't mention that the dryer was broken. I only noticed AFTER I had washed my clothes that the dryer was broken. So then I had a full load of soaking-wet laundry and no way to dry it. We had to take the time to drive somewhere else to dry the clothes. It was not a good stay at all! We will never be going back. The only positive was that the staff was friendly. That's it. The rest was horrible.

Came for the pool so my daughter (4years old) could swim. If your comming for the pool like us, get your swimming out the day you check in! bc checkout is at 11 AM and the pool won't open until 10 AM. Clearly they don't want guests from the day before in the pool 🙄 😒. I tried to get the front desk to open the doors at 930 so she could swim for a hour before check out. Receptionists looked at my daughter and said you'll have to wait a half hour, doors open at 10. So I'll pack my car up now and let her swim from 10-1050 am... the room I checked in (207) toilet did not work. So thankful my little had to potty as soon as we walked in or we wont have known until late into the evening as we got ready for pool immediately. I Called front desk from room phone... it rang 10 mins with no answer. I walked back down stairs waited in line to inform them the toilet was out or order... A hour later I was moved to Rm 307. Elevators and hallways have debris everywhere. Breakfast was cool (minus orange juice tasted like water so get the apple juice) pool was warm yesterday that was nice. If your comming for the pool I suggest spending extra money and going somewhere else or getting all your swimming done on day 1.

This is the email I sent to the GM and the Manager, Customer Experience at Choice Hotels International of after my stay, I think it says it all!! ||I did receive multiple communications from the Customer Experience Team International, but just a proforma, thank you for your information from the GM, he never reached out at all. He does not care. ||||Dear Bassel,||I stayed at your location last weekend with my husband for a combined birthday/anniversary weekend at the Henry Ford. ||While we thoroughly enjoyed the Ford and the city. Comfort Inn gave me nothing but anxiety, disgust and outrage.||When we arrived, we left our bags in the room and went out for dinner. Upon 1st glance it was evident that the toilet was untouched as well as many other surfaces. When leaving for dinner very shortly I stopped and asked the front desk to kindly send housekeeping up to clean the toilet and the hand grab on the fridge which was full of debris. ||When returning I of course went and inspected these surfaces. Well, the actual toilet seat had now been wiped and a half hearted effort in removing the debris from the hand hold in the fridge was done. ||I have many, many pictures which I can share with you, or anyone else who wants to see them. ||The bottom and rear of the toilet bowl was filthy, and obviously had not been cleaned for an extended time, this is not a one time miss. ||There were numerous hairs and dirt smudges in the shower. ||The taps in the sink in the outer room were full of debris that dirt that can not be accumulated over one, two, or even three visits. I was able to take a kleenex and scrape the hardened debris in the sink off with my finger nail. ||This room is perpetually unkept. ||This is very evident in looking at the track for the closet, it is indescribable horrible.||I made the mistake of wanting to go to the pool on Friday night after dinner and was appalled. I didn't even get any pictures that night, but came back on Saturday night and obtained pictures of the dirt, debris, dirty towels and socks, garbage and algae that were all still there. No housekeeping had been done at all. And when I went to the front desk for a second time, there were three other guests there also making complaints of the housekeeping. The whole corridor leading to the pool reeked of weed and one man was asking for air freshener, they said their room was unbearable. We bonded over our shared outrage.||Both mornings at breakfast, this was the scene, the staff were all hiding away in the room across from the buffet, not to be seen during our whole sitting. The only item I saw replenished or checked was one tureen of coffee. ||I am not unfamiliar with hotel stays and generally observe at least one designated staff attending to checking stock levels and keeping things tidy. I can assure you this is not happening. Not a counter wiped of all the drips and spills of the many people having their breakfast, and most looking for items that were empty and walking away empty handed. ||However at 9:30 when the breakfast ended, numerous staff came out of the room they were squirreled away in and sat down in the lobby and enjoyed their meal together. ||The only reason I stayed is because I believed from my inspection that the sheets on the bed were clean. I was afraid to touch anything else. ||In summary this was the worst experience I have ever come across in a hotel. Honestly, I booked because I saw a link on the Ford site. Well rest assured they will also be getting a copy of this. They should not tarnish their reputation by being associated with Comfort Inn near Greenfield. ||I can assure you I was not looking for opulence from your establishment, just a comfortable, clean place to stay during our celebratory weekend at the Ford. ||It has left the whole memory and experience tainted with a dark cloud and we will forever recall it as that dirty place we stayed at, where no one cared. I would have communicated with you earlier in the week, however this has been my first opportunity to find time. Last weekend was supposed to be a short reprieve from a very busy life. ||||Just FYI, I planned on coming back in April with my 2 sons, but I will certainly be looking elsewhere, if the premises were clean you would have had repeat,...

we booked a room with a king bed and a pull out couch for 2 adults and 2 teenagers the room as listed as sleeping 4 the king bed had 5 of the smalles standard size pillows I have ever seen each adult would need 2 of these to sleep confortably we normally book r with a king bed and pull out couch as our dids do not like to sleep together so one daughter usually brings her own cot and the pull out bed usually allows for more room to place the cot than a standard 2 bed room. however seh usually uses the pillows from the room normally there is extra for the pull out in the closet there were none so we called down to ask for pillos for the pull oput we were told there are enough for 4 people on the bed and they had no extras (I have never had a hotel tell me there are no extra pillows ) also there was no conforter for the pull out only a fleece blankeet we asked for an extra blanket or thiker blanket as I knew my daugter sleeping on the pull out would be cold they said it was in the bed and there was no extras... again I have never been told by a hotel there are no extras to be had if we were cold. next the clock in our room was broken (burned out LEDs time was not readable at all) I called and asked for a replacement someone came and looked at it then left to get a replacement but never came back. so we had no clock to check time if we wok up in the middle ofthe night at a glance. I had also asked for more towls as a) there were only 2 body sized towels again i had booked the room for 4 people and b) when I opend the fridge a previous occupant had left a glass of water in the fridge that had spilled leaving the bottom with a layer of water that required sopping out with a number of my smaller towles. obviously the houskeeping staff had not checked the fridge. when I asked for towls to be brought to the room I was told that it was not possbile we had to come down to the desk as she was alone , same for extra shampoo as we also needed more shampoo as 3 girls with very long hair requried more than 2 small bottles for a multy day stay... guess what when we went down they did not have any shampoo but did give us the towls... so they sent someone up with the shampooo.... I guess there was other peple to do that after all... finally the toilet you had to wit 20 min in the morning between flushes again a room that says it will accomidate 4 people you should be able to flush the toilet more often than once every 20 min. I realy dont have high expectations the other than the toilet was what I would have epected we slept well the breakfast was good, my complaints were on the...
