University of Michigan Dearborn Fieldhouse/Ice Arena — Attraction in Dearborn

Was here for a volleyball tournament over the weekend. The facility is nice and has an upstairs viewing area. But the place was cramped, putting 8 nets up in the size of this gym is unsafe for players and people spectating. Players had barely any room for serving due to people in chairs around the playing area. You can only sit on the bleachers if you’re playing on the 2 nets in the center of the gym, which leaves everyone else with sitting in chairs around the playing areas. I’m fine with sitting in chairs, but it gets out of control when they’re so close to the court where players can’t have room to serve and people can’t walk past without being on the court. The facility would be a lot nicer if there was 6 or less nets up. They also had a snack bar and nice ice rink. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend bringing your team here for volleyball tournaments if there is more...
