I've seen Errin here a few times, and while I think that she cuts hair well, I found making/rescheduling appointments to be difficult at best. The online system doesn't show you alternatives for your selected stylist, and instead of showing available appointments by month, it shows by week, requiring you to click and click and then click some more. It's poorly designed and a hassle to use. No problem, you think, I'll call to make an appointment. Good luck! They rarely answer their phone and only sporadically return messages. When I was sick with the flu the day before my long-awaited appointment (you have to book out pretty far in advance), I called and called to cancel with enough notice. No answer. Left a message, no response. Called the next morning, too, same thing. I called all the next week to reschedule and probably tried about 20 times before I was able to get someone on the phone.
Anyway, I had to book pretty far out again. Then, two weeks before my appointment, Errin calls to cancel. She's had to move the date of her dental surgery to the date of our appointment. So of course she'll just give me the date that her surgery was supposed to be, right? NOPE. She had somehow already given all of those appointments away and was going to book me out even farther. When I got upset because of how poorly this was being handled, she acted as though I was unreasonable. She actually brought up that I hadn't cancelled my prior appointment with enough notice!! This after calling maybe twenty times over two days and leaving two messages!! Very flustered, after much hemming and hawing, she scheduled me for a time two days before our canceled appointment. Problem solved, right? NOPE. The next morning, I get an email saying that she doesn't feel comfortable doing my hair anymore and to find another stylist. I guess because I had the nerve to be upset that they never return calls, never answer their phone, and cancel appointments and then don't give rescheduling priority to the people being cancelled? Totally unprofessional behavior, and for $90 a cut plus tip,...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about Mop Hair. I have been getting devacuts by Cory for the last 3 1/2 years and every single time I have left beyond thrilled with my hair. I have gone in wanting to keep my hair's length with a reshaping, and I have gone in wanting to completely change my hair length and style, every single time Cory has spectacularly delivered. Cory is a wonderfully personable stylist who I enjoy talking with and always makes me feel like I'm at home. Over the years I have had many bad experiences with salons not knowing how to handle curly hair, but now that I have found Mop Hair every single visit to the salon is enjoyable and leaves me feeling extremely good about my hair. Additionally, Mop Hair is an extremely welcoming salon, their COVID protocols have allowed for safe appointments during the pandemic, and the online booking system is very easy to use. If you are a curly hair girl looking for a salon in the Boston Area, then look no further - Mop Hair is the...
Read moreI went mop Hair Salon for the first time last week. It’s such a cute salon on Tremont Street and you instantly feel welcomed when you walk in. I really liked the décor and how open the space is. I was recommended to see Nicole to get highlights and a haircut. She asked me if I wanted to add some layers, I was a bit nervous because I usually hate how other hair dressers have layered my hair, but I gave her the go. When she finished blow drying my hair, I was so excited to see the finish product. She layered my hair perfectly and the color looks awesome. I’ve been getting so many compliments on my hair cut/ color. Nicole is the BEST! I can’t wait for my next...
