Cafe Fresh Bagel — Restaurant in Dedham

Was excited to try this place, for my love of a good bagel - but alas, it was a bit of a disappointment.

In fairness, the "everything" bagel was good and had a nice texture and flavor. (Although I prefer seasonings on both sides of the bagel.)

The problem was, the cream cheese was so scant that it was practically translucent, so I couldn't appreciate any chive flavor.

The service was friendly, especially a younger guy who might be the son of the owners. I think it's a family-owned place (which is why I added another star) -- because I like to support small businesses, especially family owned.

Lastly, the female owner told me it was $3.75 -- but the charge notification from my credit card was $3.89, which was odd.

Made me a little less delighted that I paid nearly $4 for a dry piece of bread with a mere dab o' cream cheese.

If you ask for extra cream cheese, this bagel just might...

Tried this place today, the bagels are good and fresh but in no way is this worth the price. I remember 4 years ago the bagels had 3 inches of egg. Was stuffed and could barely fit in ur mouth to take a bite, now it’s a regular sandwich. And I know what ur thinking, it’s 2022, post Covid inflation everything cost more. We’ll that’s true but the prices are not the same as they were 4 years ago. They charged me $9 for a bacon egg and cheese. If I’m paying $9 I expect it to be like the ones in NYC. After all eggs are not expensive esp for a food establishment buying them in 20dozen carts at a time. Anyways the food itself was average so if prices were average I’d give it a 4 star but prices are not average. And one last thing, the coffee was really bad. If I walked in and only got coffee I think I would give it a 1 star. I will not even...

As a former New Yorker, this place is the real deal. They bake the bagels fresh at this location. The crust is great on the bagels, you can buy bagels in bulk, and get breakfast sandwiches with the works. The bacon egg and cheeses have a tremendous amount of egg on them, and the coffee is great!

Very clean establishment. Very kind employees. I come here almost every weekend to grab a bite and I am never disappointed. Try the lox spread or one of the hot breakfast sandwiches, or their assortments of cream cheeses! You can't go wrong no matter what you pick.
