After Plaster Funtime with the kids, I was searching for somewhere easy to eat with my kiddos but wanted to expose them to something they hadn't had before and that I loved. Pho!!! 🍜
28 Bistro has a low key vibe, great music in the background, and the owner who works the register and tables(at least that Sunday) was delightful.
The food was absolutely delicious! I had to order an 18yo, a 14yo, and a 7 yo. 29 Bistro didn't disappoint.
Apps: Seaweed Salad, Short Ribs, and Calamari Entree options: Beef Pho, 2 x Seafood Pho, and Duck Pho (these aren't the names of the dishes, but the main ingredients within).
My kids were loving the flavor, enjoying every moment of the experience, and had a bunch left over for lunch the next day despite being super full.
I enjoyed it all. The Dutch Pho was absolutely amazing and while I over did it a bit in the apps, flavorwise, it was all amazing.
Oh, we capped it off with various flavors of boaba tea!
You've gotta check out 29 Bistro. I'll...
Read moreI live nearby. I really wanted to try this restaurant. I went in with my family. We stood at the area near the door and waited to be seated like any other restaurant. We waited for 10 minutes without a single staff member acknowledging us. I had to initiate by walking up to the counter and asking the staff. Only then were we seated. After we sat down, we waited for over 30 minutes without anyone taking our orders. I kept looking at the staff to get their attention but no one made eye contact with me. Literally forgot we were there. I overheard other families complaining about waiting a long time for their food to come out. One lady was so frustrated that she kept getting up to self serve by getting her own plates and napkins. Enough was enough. After 40 minutes since walking into the restaurant and not even placing our order yet, we left. So sad. But I won’t be...
Read moreLovely little thai and viet cuisine place in Dedham square. Right across from the fire station. Parking off to the right with a handful of spaces. Elegant decor. Service was prompt and attentive. We tried the fresh summer roll with shrimp as an appetizer. Hearty rolls, comes with 2 rolls cut in half for 4 pieces total. A little light on the shrimp but flavor was good and the peanut sauce was just right. The pho 29 special was excellent with the usual accompaniments for a #1 at any pho place. Fresh bean sprouts and basil. The grilled pork chop rice plate was fantastic with tender yet charred pork chops and a good portion of meat on the bone. The iced coconut matcha was a lovely pairing with the pork chops, a very light summer drink. Overall price reasonable for the area and portions. Will definitely be back to try the other pho and...
