So, DHOP has been one of my favorite places since moving to Massachusetts two years ago. The pizza is great, prices are reasonable and I love that it's family owned! They are very involved in the community and I think that's awesome!
Unfortunately, the service is really hit or miss. There have been a few times that I've ordered a pizza online, "well done," which is an option on their online ordering system, but received the pizza not how I wanted it. One time I asked them to bake it again and the woman at the counter scoffed at me and rolled her eyes. Another time, I opened the box in front of them and they told me I needed to move to the side so they could help others. It just felt really dismissive and not customer-centered.
But, there have been other times that service was phenomenal! When opting for delivery, I've never been dissatisfied with the driver! They're really friendly and appreciative of my business! I always tip the drivers well because they are so awesome! Additionally, one time when I picked up my order, the manager was there and decided to fulfill my request for ranch dressing with my pizza at no extra cost! It's really the small things that I appreciate!
So service-wise, they can be really great and other times can sort of leave a bad taste.
Tonight was one of those "bad taste" nights. I had some friends over who wanted to get some pizza. Of course, I suggested DHOP since it's so close and usually pretty good. We wanted to add our own toppings at home and I remembered seeing an option on their website where you could opt for "No Make" meaning they wouldn't bake it and you could take it home. So, I had my friend call over to DHOP to ask if we could order two pizzas and not have them bake it, just carry it out unbaked. The person on the phone scoffed at my friend, told her that this request isn't possible. My friend then told the person on the phone that it's an option on the website and that it's been done before. The employee proceeded to argue with my friend then hang up. I'm disheartened to say the least. My friend looked at me in shock and said she felt stupid for asking. No one should feel stupid when requesting services from a service-oriented business. Either this employee doesn't know that the website allows this option (and that we've done it before) or they didn't want to help us with this request. Either way, we decided to go pick up frozen pizzas from Stop and Shop instead.

Read moreJust ordered today for the first time and sadly the last! I was looking fir new good pizza place close to me. I order large cheese and half Hawaiian pizza. Delivery man was very nice and on time. I tipped him well. Pizza tasted okay, cheese part not to good but the Hawaiian part was good. About 5-10 minutes after eating few peaces of this pizza my stomach and grandpas stomach was hurting and cramping! We were both fine before we eat it. Very disappointed in quality of this 20 dollar pizza! Not going back we eat only 3 peace’s from the large pizza test is in freezer to go to next weeks garbage. Bad experience:(. To Add to my review: Seeing there reply to my bad review I called and spoke to the MANAGER and most likely OWNER. He was rude and didn’t even apologies blame our stomach pain after eating THERE BAD PIZZA on something else we eat earlier. That didn’t happened and timing of our stomach pain was identical time after eating there pizza! He kept sending me to the Department of the health and didn’t even say sorry for my bad experience. Also he said they served 250 people that day and we are the only one. Well I was not going to call them and complain as I figured think happen but when I saw there REPLY I was angry as I know I got sick fom there Pizza And Other person Got SICK from there Pizza!! Read moreI placed an order for pickup for me and a few friends, and they ended up getting my order wrong by putting the wrong ingredients in the calzone and pizza I ordered. As a result, I had to wait 50 minutes for them to remake those two items. The person manning the front was constantly distracted by orders and was not very attentive. They let me have the wrong food items but the wait time was unacceptable, especially considering that other people ordered and got their food before mine.
I wasn't all that impressed with the food either (especially considering the price). My chicken Cobb wrap that I ordered was bland and practically fell apart as soon as I picked it up. Because of their mistakes I will likely order ahead and online. But even then they charge $1 for an online...
