Bx Cuts Barbershop Inc. - Deland, Florida — Attraction in DeLand

MESSED UP MY WHOLE HEAD. I need everyone to listen to me. DO NOT GO HERE. I have never left a review on anything but I’m so upset I just have to make this in hopes that others will see it. I have been here a good amount of times mainly because it’s close and a lot of my friends came here too but every single time I have been here they have messed my hair up pretty bad. But this specific time they really messed it up like so bad to the point that I’m embarrassed to go out and I’m wearing a hat till it grows out and I can have it fixed. Yes I should’ve gone somewhere else when they messed it up the first time but I just figured it was that one guy. Boy was I wrong they all suck. SPECIFICALLY this one guy who uses a goku drape and only speaks Spanish. He’s like the 4-5 chair on the left. He is the one who messed up big time. I told him don’t touch the top only cut the sides and I said that multiple times because they always cut the top. Of course he cut the top but left the very front of my hair long so now the top back half of my hair is like 2 inches and the front is a solid 6 inches. I had very very long hair prior to this and I just can’t even look in the mirror...

I normally go to BX Cuts once or twice a month to get my haircut. I don’t go with the same barber, I just go with whoever is available. Everyone for the most part is a decent barber. My problem is with Gregorio Luna, he is the last chair to the left. Every time I go with him he is on the phone and distracted, rushes through the haircut. Yesterday was my last straw with him. I went in for the most simple haircut. I had let my hair grow out some just to have the sides and bottom half shaved. By the time I got home and looked in the mirror the side had a difference of over an inch and the divisions lines were all zigzag. A blind person could have done a better job. This time around I texted Gregorio and let him know of the uneven sides and he said he would “try to fix it”… When I showed up, Gregorio had left and had told the other barbers at the shop that I was going in because I had cut my own hair and messed it up. My experience was with Manny from another review that gave a shout out to his work ethic. Good guy and seemingly detail oriented. Quiet but I can appreciate that because I'm not extroverted anyway. Care is shown even down to removing the cape in a way to mitigate hair getting on your body. Style of cutting is pleasant. Not aggressive to where you need to cope with the pain but also not too gentle where it feels like nothing is being done. He knows how to use his tools and after everything done with product applied, he still shapes up the end result.
