Country Club Corners Shopping Center — Attraction in DeLand

Had a decent breakfast at KeKe's. Had the waffle with a side of bacon. Ordered real maple syrup. The young server was so embarrassed that he had to let us know that the maple syrup had a 200 up charge. I assured him it was okay. I had expected the extra charge. Okay, food wise.....the Belgium waffle was barely warm.... not warm enough to melt the butter. The maple syrup was just perfect enough for me... that's a plus. The side of bacon was cooked to perfection with a mild flavor crispy with no big fat pockets and well drained off and most importantly no maple flavored for me. I had ice tea ...partner had coffee.... no refills were offered for however his coffee was refilled without question twice. I did ask for a refill and was not offered a to-go cup even though when leaving, my large glass was 2/3 full. I really dislike wasting food .. but I left it behind. Now it was a bit busy and the time was roughly 11:30..... so no, we didn't request new pancakes... I would have thought that while waiting for the perfect bacon, they could have put the waffles under a heat light...

This shopping center is somewhat typical of others nearby, although it’s better kept than pretty much all others in Deland. It’s big. If you go there to get a haircut and want to get some Italian ice afterward, it makes more sense to drive than walk, especially when it’s hot out (you’ll be soaked in sweat if you walk across this shopping center and back if you’re trying to avoid driving after you park). You can buy almost anything you can think of here. The parking lots are regularly cleaned and the landscape is well maintained. It needs more trees or at least artificial structures that provide shade. There is so much pavement here that your car will bake if you go into a store for any...

Anthony's Pizza by far the best real Italian pizza eatery around. A great NY style pie with fresh dough and homemade recepies. Dine in or take out. Pick up service available for catering service. The smell and taste of back home, oh mamma mea', Just try it once and you decide So you want fresh family style food, or just settle and get disappointed and dissatisfied with cold commercial 🍕 pizza.
