I first used CPR to repair the broken screen on my cell phone, and I had a positive experience with that. I like to support local businesses, and since they also do computer repairs, I inquired about having a new graphics card installed in my son's computer. Because the computer was 6 years old and there were other factors, such as the power supply not being adequate, the computer couldn't hold a new graphics card. Instead, CPR suggested buying a new computer. My son was very clear about the fact that he plays WoW and wanted higher fps. We were assured that the computer we were purchasing would provide a major improvement in performance over his old computer. $1,236 later, we have a computer that will only play WoW at around 22 fps on minimum settings versus the 6 year old Dell that continues to play 60 fps on medium settings. Until we have $500+ to install another graphics card in the new computer, it will sit in my son's closet. I understand that once we install a new graphics card, it will perform better than his old computer, but we were very clear about what we were looking for and were lead to believe that this new computer would be a great improvement over the old. Although it is covered by a 1 year warranty, the fact that it works means I have no recourse, as they do not give refunds for computer purchases. I feel like we were mislead and my son is left with a Christmas/Birthday gift that will sit in his closet until I have another $500+ to spend on it. I am extremely...
Read moreI have a oneplus open which is a very spendy phone. Retails for like $1800 at least when I first bought it. When I'm telling you I BABIED that phone, I'm not exaggerating. The phone was pristine without a scratch on it, phone case since day one and never just threw it in my purse.
My phone was water damaged (went on a cruise and it was in my fanny pack which I forgot) and they got it to work which is why I gave it 2 stars. But wow, not sure what happened but when I got the phone back, it had scratches ALL OVER not even sure how that's possible. Not to mention in the camera lense there is spots all over. It could have been wiped down when they did this process. Also, when I got my phone back it gives me this message about being a generic battery and won't even hold a charge basically even if I turn it off. So apparently I got swindled for a phone battery... That's a first. And not sure what happened but now the phone will not connect to a network. I tried everything I could read and watch online besides an actual factory reset. So it's basically useless.
I would...
Read moreI managed to crack the screen on my Moto G Stylus 5G (XT2131) for the third time, and broke the selfie camera as well. So much for the OtterBox shockproof case. Moving to an i-phone was now on the table. I brought the Moto to CPR, they got the screen and camera replacement inside of 5 days. The other repair shop took over 2 weeks to get the parts. The phone looks like brand new, much better than the previous screen replacement. The shop tech ( Jason? ) said the other shop's repair job was bogus, said something they did wrong with the adhesive and glass installation. You only get that kind of critique from someone who knows what they are doing - I would know, I did PC and laser printer repair for 20 years and I'd frag other techs for crummy work! Thanks CPR Deland! I guess I'll keep my Android 12 Moto G for a while longer. I'll recommend this shop to...
