My wife and I recently got married at The Hall at Castle Inn 12.11.21 for a Christmas themed wedding and it was such an amazing experience. We originally planned for 2020 but due to COVID we had to postpone and throughout this time we have been dealing with the owner, Frank, for 2 years. He is the most down to earth, personable, gentlemen you could ask for. He was so helpful and accommodating for our special requests and made our wedding night so wonderful. He is extremely responsive and helpful and we are so pleased to have worked with him. I will forever hold the memories of this venue in my heart for our Christmas themed wedding. It was so beautiful and the owners made sure our evening was perfect, even supplying some of their own decor for the venue that night. You essentially choose your decor but the venue is staged however you want. It was such a great experience for a wedding without using a planner. I hope others find my review and decide to go here because you will not be sorry, Frank and his wife are such great people to work with and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Thank...
Read moreThis past Summer my husband and I were lucky enough to have our wedding at this most incredible venue. The Original plan was to get married in the beautiful and historic hall, but with Covid restrictions we had to change our plan at the last minute. The Owners, Frank and Theresa, were so incredibly accommodating and willing to help figure out a plan B to make our dream day come true. With their help and the magnificent backdrop of the hall, we got married right there on the property In front. It most certainly wasn’t exactly what we had planned but it wound up being even greater! Frank and Theresa made, from the very start, through the transition and all of the way until the end, stress free, exciting and they did it with such ease. It definitely could have been stressful and felt like a sort of disaster with all of the changes but we Thank them over and over for making it the complete opposite and our dream! We will forever have the most amazing memories of our...
Read moreIt's always amazing to discover history that the local folks never knew about. The Historic Castle Inn is a treasure for Monroe County and Delaware Water Gap. It's the only existing remnant of a time, when the east coast ROARED. . . the 1920's . . . when middle-class folks from Philadelphia and New York would take the train to 'summer' along the Delaware River (in lieu of shore points).
Be aware the hour-long walking tour is only available Friday-Sunday at 2:00 P.M., Scott does a MAGNIFICENT job of transporting you back to the heydays of this beautiful structure.
Many others have provided detailed reviews of the '3 lives' this historic inn has hosted. We suffice it to say, if you are a 'local' or 'summer resident', take the short drive and learn of the cultural contributions the inn's owners have given Monroe County and Delaware Water Gap. Go . . . enjoy an afternoon day trip . . . you will be surprised at...
