A group of us girlfriends went for lunch today and this was the first time any of us had been there. We all kept passing the restaurant because there was no signage up on the building, just a little sign above the door that none of us noticed. Once we got in and sat down though, we had a very nice waitress named Brandy R.. She seemed a little confused and overwhelmed at times (which I think maybe was from us asking for too much from too many people at one time). But she was right on anything that maybe she forgot. She was welcoming, friendly, and thanked us for our business. She did however significantly overcharge me for my meal (which I didn't realize till I got home and was leaving this review) . The bourbon gyro price on the menu is $14.99 (and that comes with a side of fries). I asked her if I could change the fries out for rice and she told me that there was an upcharge. I thought that was odd as both the fries and the rice are $3.99 listed on the menu, but that's okay if they upcharge it. However when I got my receipt out at home, I can see that she charged me the full price for the bourbon gyro (including the fries) and then charged me the full price for the rice on top of that. So $14.99 + $3.99 for a side of rice equals $18.98. This is what she charged me. So if she's going to charge me full price for the side of rice, she should have given me the fries as well. This is not subbing out the price by adding a buck or two. I'm not a fry eater, so if I go back again and do rice I will have to pay better attention to this. I wish I would have caught it when I was there. I'll hold on to the receipt, and we'll see if the restaurant credits it when I go back?? The food came out way quicker than we thought it would ! All of us got gyros, except for one person who got a burger. We all liked our food and even ordered additional meals to take home, we liked them so much. The bourbon gyro was amazing! Extremely messy, but so delicious!

Absolutely awesome!!!!!!!! Our favorite downtown Delaware Casual place . They are super fast with service & very very friendly. Worth every penny although we find it pretty reasonable bc you get a ton of delicious food. The CHICKEN IS MOIST!!! Crispy fresh veggies in salads and quality olives. VARIETIES of HUMMUS are AWESOME! The pita bread I swear has some secret ingredient. Melts in mouth🤤 and I am not a bread person. Burgers are awesome. They even have PASTA which reminded me of the kind out east we used to get in NY/NJ. BAR OHHHHH MY GAWWWWD GO IN JUST TO SEEEEE THE BAR Largest Selection of BOURBON IN OHIO they said. You are better to ask what the don't stock. My guys luv the beers on tap which change monthly...they carry many from local breweries. OPA IS A MUST DO in Downtown Delaware. They have carry out also...which is ready fast...and they serve beer to go! If you are Looking for a more FINE DINING 1808 a couple blocks up Is an ABSOLUTE. MY VERY VERY FAVORITE special place.

Wow! We are going to be regulars! We had been to Opa’s in the past and while it was good it didn’t draw us back. The improvements to the new location, the staff (Jonny specifically) were awesome but the food was killer!!! We visited on a very busy Saturday night, with a party of 8 and Jonny rocked it, he was extremely busy but always calm and accommodating. Our Birthday boy was extremely picky with his food and Jonny didn’t act like it was an issue ever. My wife and I returned on Monday for a more chill dinner and a nice bourbon and again Jonny was there but this time with not manny others there he was able to spend more time telling us the store story and shared his tips. We enjoyed some new appetizers we wouldn’t have otherwise known about and the food was delivered to our table almost too fast! Can’t go wrong with this choice and if you like bourbon at all it’s an amazing place to try some new pours that you’ve been wanting to try.

Rachel and Lilly are, without question, the greatest waitresses of all time. From the moment you walk into the restaurant, they set the tone with their warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for making every guest feel special. Rachel has an incredible ability to anticipate customers’ needs before they even ask—whether it’s keeping drinks filled, remembering a favorite order, or offering thoughtful menu suggestions. Lilly, on the other hand, brings unmatched energy and positivity to every shift, turning even the busiest nights into smooth, enjoyable experiences for everyone around her. Together, they elevate the entire dining atmosphere and make every visit something to look forward to.

Their teamwork and dedication go far beyond the standard expectations of great service. Both Rachel and Lilly consistently handle the pressure of peak hours with grace and efficiency, never letting the quality of their service waver. They’ve built strong relationships with regulars and new guests alike, earning admiration not just for their skill but for their kindness and authenticity. Simply put, they’re the heart of the restaurant—employees who make a lasting impact on both customers and coworkers. For their extraordinary service, unwavering dedication, and the joy they bring to every table, Rachel Miller and Lilly Lagando have more than earned a...

I was hesitant to try Opa because I thought it was mainly a whiskey bar and had my thoughts on taking kids there. With a recommendation from so many friends with kids I went in on first Friday for first time. Yes it was crazy of me to think we could get in with line. We were met by Brandi and she explained it really would not be too long. We decided to stay and our wait was only 10 min due to most people getting things from bar and stepping outside to patio. We were greeted friendly and quickly sat. Reading menu I was nervous but decided the Chicken Argos let me say omg! Husband got a pasta wasn’t sure what he got mine was so delicious I didn’t mind his food lol. Our food came out quickly surprisingly since they were so busy. Our server was Brandi and she was amazing. Our drinks were never empty and she was so upbeat and positive and really knowledgeable of the whiskeys they had. Although we didn’t drink whiskey my husband was curious on them. I strongly recommend if you haven’t tried Opa or are hesitant like I was to just do it! I order the same thing every time 😂 and it never disappoints. Even our kids enjoyed going with us! We go to Opa for date night from now on! I’ve never had a bad experience there and the service from time you walk into door til you leave is great and help make the atmosphere so great! Can’t wait to see the...
