December 30, 2020. Evening. Utter collapse and failure. They took my families order around 7:15pm. Charged a family debit card, or went through. By 9 pm we called and asked where our order was. Even though this was the question asked, we were informed âitâs been deliveredâ.
They were informed it hasnât been delivered. We were then assured - it HAD ALREADY BEEN DELIVERED.
This was what got emotions going. ~ Why would we waist our time if we were already eating? (One autistic child a second child, two adults. You may know what itâs like dealing with a regular kid, an autistic kid - FIXATES on a subject doesnât let go. So know we are in a debate with the representative and the child is demanding and fixating about dinner)
We ask for a manager. The manager keeps saying what we have heard before - itâs delivered. - Iâm telling you itâs our card you have and our order is NOT here. Then the guy says that no one took the order... then the guy says itâs been real hectic and Itâs all because of the stimulus checks.....
Seriously? You charged my card. Lost my order. Wonât admit it. Then tell me itâs all the fault of the federal government. Then tell me again we got it already... then tell me you never got the order out information.
At least stick to a story there âStephâ. Whim by the Way at this time isnât the General Manager.... even though they claimed to be.
Kick in the pants was we were trying to come back after repeated mistakes.....
So, yes, Our experience with this venue is appropriately scored the lowest possible.
At any time they could have apologized and rushed us our order. At ashy time they could have said I donât know. At any time they could have Accepted they made a mistake. Instead of blaming us, Congress..., the banking system, and society..... literally everyone but them - making a...
Read moreIn town during lunch. Parked here (in the empty lot) to get pizza for my kids, but had to walk across the street really quickly first to complete an errand. Got to the edge of the lot when general manager comes out of the store yelling that she's going to tow my car. I calmly told her I'd be right back to order my pizza. She nastily tells me if I don't leave with a pizza she'll have my car towed. I ask her for the owner's name and she claimed not to know who owns the store. I ask her for the manager's name and that is when she nastily identified herself as the "general manager." I am not a student; school is not even in session. There is a whole empty parking lot right across the street if I didn't want a pizza. Left in my car, completed my errand, returned and ordered my pizza. Young man making pizza was nice, delivery driver helped me leave parking lot in traffic. This "manager," instead of taking the opportunity to apologize for her extremely unprofessional behavior, just repeatedly gave me dirty looks the entire time I was in the store. Since she didn't know who the owner was, it could have easily been me. Or I could be a mystery shopper, President of the University next door, or editor of the local newspaper. Point is when you are working for someone else, especially in a public-facing position of authority, you need to keep your nasty, low-class personality to yourself. I wouldn't think the owner would approve of the manager running outside threatening customers or potential customers, but I understand if times require scraping the bottom of the barrel for help. Definitely not a "people...
Read moreI experience bias constantly; however, from a national chain, it is unacceptable. My experience picking up my pizza from Papa John's in Delaware, Ohio, will be something I will never do again. I arrived at the restaurant having placed my order, stating my Super Hawaiian Pizza was ready. After going in to pick it, I stood there for five minutes waiting someone to assist me. Another person of a different race came after me, and the girl working there asked her if you could help. The pizza was not ready for this person. When the employee came back and walked past me again, I pulled my phone out and displayed my order and name. The pizza was sitting, waiting; the employee gave me the pizza, and I left. Normally, I say thank you and have a great day. However, I was stunned and walked out. If Papa Johns' employees display this type of service when people of color come into their establishment, I can spend my money elsewhere. Money is green, and customer should not be treated disrespectfully based on their color, especially in a national chain. Bias training, discrimination, and customer service training are essential in...
