Would give zero stars if i could. Horrible. Worst customer service experience I've had in some time.
Just stopped into the store in Lansing, before closing time i might add, and got kicked out of the store while browsing with my 14 year old. He (supposed customer service representative) was taking care of a customer when we arrived, and after he checked out said customer, he said "I'm closed. That was my last sale for the night." I thought he was joking, as he said it while smiling. He then said "I am serious, that was my last order.... it was my longest closing transaction ever".
If was a very rude experience and as a former customer service representative, I'm baffled that someone like that can work in the retail business. Every customer service job I have ever worked included all customers inside the building before closing time. I'm not sure what the protocol is here, but booting potential customers is quite the lame policy, even if they arrive five minutes before scheduled closing time.
He offered us to come back at 11am tomorrow, which will not be happening. I will drive out of my way, far away from home to avoid hitting this store in the future and will be sure to tell my friends about the horrible experience.

The store was closed with no explanation. Annoying, but sometimes emergencies happen so I figure the staff had an issue and had to close early. So I come back Saturday (March 9th) at noon. I am about to pay for the game I pre-ordered weeks ago when the staff member says before you pay "let me make sure I have the game". This of course, is a huge warning sign. He looks around, the game is not there. Keep in mind this is a pre order. I told them weeks ago I will be purchasing this game on this date week's in advance and they could not fulfill that order. What's worse is they no longer have extra copies on hand so I couldn't have gotten the game through them if I wanted too, which of course I no longer do. So I made two wasted trips to that store, which is over 20 minutes one way. I've been a gamestop customer for over 10 years but I will not be shopping at this...

When we approached the door the employee on the inside just gave us a weird look and kept working on other things.
When I called the āOpenā location an employee answered the phone, Iām assuming itās this jerk as heās the only one in the building.
This guy had horrible, and I mean awful, customer service. I asked if the location was open and he said no. Then I asked when they close on Fridays and he said 7pm. I let him know that on Google it says they close at 9pm. He responded by saying āIām the employee, I work here, and I know for a fact that we close at 7pm.ā
I was astonished at the horrible response I got and let him know that online it says youāre open until 9pm and hung up. Will NEVER return to this location and I never even shop at these places but this definitely drove the nail in the coffin.
Just buy everything digitally and definitely...
