The initial experience was great but everything afterward made me wish I had decided to go elsewhere. You may or may not find what you are looking for, they have a very small selection, which I learned when I went to other shops to look for bridesmaids dresses. The dress I chose would’ve been perfect except I didn’t like the neckline. While in the shop I was informed that their seamstress could transform the neckline. Based on this information I decided to go with this dress. The communication on shipping & arrival is non-existent on their end. You have to call & get updated. I wanted to change something about my dress after I already placed the order. I called before hand to ask if it was possible & what the procedure would be. They said it wouldn’t be a problem & it would push the ship date back a couple of weeks and it would cost $100. Later in the day I received a text message stating the change would cost $150. They sent the message at the very same time they closed. That was the first time they would give me incorrect information & not properly communicate it. Instead of a text message at end of business, I should’ve received a call stating why there was a change. I decided to let that go. A few weeks after this change I called to see when I can expect my dress for planning purposes. I was told it is set to be shipped on July 8th. August 7th rolls around & I have no dress & no communication. When I called I was told “Since you changed your dress it’s not going to ship until August 8th & we should receive within 8-10 days.” Remember I called after I changed the dress & was given the date of July 8th. Again I decided not to pick that as a battle. I waited 11 business days & still no updates from Pierre’s. So I call again & they send me another text messages stating that the dress would be here on August 31st. I can understand a few days being delayed but almost double the time. Again decided not to pick that battle. I call to set up a time for my fitting. That was a battle on its own trying to find a time that works for both the seamstress and I. The only time I could do it was right before an appointment & I was assured it wouldn’t take any longer than 30 mins and that would leave me enough time to get to my appointment. I get there & the seamstress isn’t there, I was informed that she got caught up in construction. Fine ok, I sat there for 30 mins before I had to leave. At this point I try to reschedule and the guy was very rude & short almost as I was inconveniencing him. He attempts to try to reschedule & ask me “when?”. I say when is the seamstress available? He says he doesn’t know & I have to wait for Sarah because she’s the only one who talks to her. Why even attempt, if you couldn’t help me? Finally I had to walk out because Sarah was helping someone else & I couldn’t wait any longer. On my way to my other appointment I call and express that I want to reschedule. Sarah didn’t bother apologizing for wasting my time. I even decided to express my concerns over the entire ordeal & all she could do was try to blame it on the designers & myself. She was very argumentative. While I understand that somethings are out of their control, it is their job to make sure everyone is on the same page. I don’t work with the designers, so it is on Pierre’s to make sure I am properly communicated to. I finally reschedule for the following week and I was informed by the seamstress that it would be impossible to change the neckline. I understand that the seamstress would know better but for that reason they shouldn’t have employees guaranteeing alterations without speaking to the actual seamstress. I would’ve never selected this dress had I known there was a possibility the neckline couldn’t be altered. I was stuck with the neckline and the seamstress would bring it in to fit more snug. When I got the dress back it did not fit properly. I had to go to someone else to get the dress altered. They have very poor organization and customer service skills, for that I do not recommend this bridal...
Read moreExperience was very distasteful and left us feeling an immense amount of dread/disgust. A man, who I’m assuming is the owner, stood guard as I walked in to ask me what I was doing there. When I explained that I had an appointment, he quickly asked, “what for?” followed by more disgruntled questions then ordered my fiancé and I to take off our shoes. Mind you, this was after I had to be let in by a customer because they wouldn’t open the door after I buzzed. Once allowed in, I stood there waiting to be greeted. I am an African American woman and I hate to pull the racial tension card but it was so blatant - to the point where the customer who let us in said “I’ll open the door, I won’t let you just stand out there. It’s cold and raining” No other customers were greeted in such a way nor were they left to stand in the rain buzzing to be let in. They were let in quickly, greeted nicely, then allowed to roam the shop.
After that humiliating ordeal, we were presented with a stock of very unpleasant/outdated suits. We weren’t asked our opinion or what look we had in mind, instead everything was quickly presented and almost chosen for us based on what this man liked. It was like we were being rushed out of there. We had no idea what we were even buying, but somehow we were filling out an information slip. We stopped signing and declined to make a down payment or purchase. We went to Baryames down the street where we had an AMAZING experience. The owner of Baryames allowed us to push our appointment forward, greeted us, and even made an area where we were seated to be presented with a beautiful selection of suits, ties, shoes, and accessories. He actually asked us about the style we were looking for and our interests and shook our hands in the end. I’m definitely planning to go back to buy more suits. This experience outshined Pierre’s bridal shop by miles. Though the store was very busy, we felt like priority customers. I happily purchased a full tux set from Baryames that day. I am so glad I didn’t spend a dime at Pierre’s. If you are suit/tux shopping don’t waste your time at Pierre’s, reading the other reviews allowed me to see that the owner is a repeat offender in the customer mismanagement department and clearly hasn’t learned a thing...
Read moreThis was the WORST experience tuxedo shopping I could’ve ever had!! So here it is…
I am attending a gala for my wife’s job. So we called and scheduled an appointment and when we arrived the door is locked with a door bell. We ring the doorbell and nobody let us in. A customer had to let us in and say “Im not going to make you stand out in the wet and cold”. We get inside and as we’re walking in a man steps in front of my wife and says “Can I help you?” She said yes we have an appointment and he looks up and down at us and says “For what?” So he shows me only 2 tuxedo options and has me try on a coat and says this is perfect it fits you perfect and it looks perfect on you. So before I can ask if he has a different selection he brings me over to the counter and has me fill out my info. Saying he will have it shipped, I realized he is placing a order when I literally tried on one piece, I tell him I have another appointment for a different place (which was the truth) he then gives me the “Oh you waisted my time look and attitude.” So we left called the other tuxedo shop to ask if we can come earlier due to this event that took place. We headed over to “Baryames Tuxedo and Suit” shop and let me tell you! The second we walked in the door we were greeted by a man (who I believe to be the owner or manager) and he immediately helped me when everything I could ask for. Due to the previous experience I had thought of so many questions to ask so my next experience wouldn’t end the same. Before I could even ask one of my questions, the man helping had it all figured out. He asked what kind of fit I like, if I prefer more of a modern or flashy style he also had me try on about three other suits and I loved each one of them! I actually had to sit for about 5-10min and decide which one I wanted and ultimately I believe I couldn’t have found a better tuxedo. Me and my wife were ecstatic walking out of there! We talked about the amazing experience for the rest of the day and the next morning. The tuxedo suits me so well I keep going back to the pictures to look at it! If I could give a lower review I would.
DON’T waste your time or money with Pierre’s they are NOT in it for the customers...
