This was our first visit to Stafford House, and without question, it will not be our last. From the moment we stepped into the historic Katy Depot, we knew we were in for something special — but nothing could have prepared us for the exquisite, upscale experience that unfolded.

Every detail was pure perfection. The ambiance was romantic, refined, and welcoming, striking the perfect balance between luxury and comfort. The service was flawless — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. We felt pampered without pretense.

Now for the food: absolutely out of this world. Every dish was a masterpiece — from the appetizers to the desserts. The flavors were rich and balanced, the presentation was stunning, and everything was prepared with precision. Highlights included the Chilean Sea Bass and Chicken Airline , both cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Even the bread service was exceptional!

The wine list was curated beautifully and paired wonderfully with our meal, elevating the entire experience to a level of culinary artistry that rivaled anything we’ve had in major cities.

Stafford House isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a destination. Denison is incredibly lucky to have such a gem, and we are already planning our return. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate, impress, or simply indulge in an unforgettable evening, Stafford House is the place.

We came here before the candlelight violin concert that’s right next door. The atmosphere is excellent and really romantic, and the food was top notch. The only complaint we had about the food was the appetizers were small compared to the price. The service needs to be improved. We got there 2 hours before the concert started and we didn’t get our food until 15 minutes before we had to leave, so we had to shovel it down and not really enjoy it. We told our waiter multiple times we had a time crunch but thought 2 hours would be plenty of time to eat and enjoy some drinks. The drink orders also took a while to come out and got them wrong. Our waiter told us they were swamped that night so we gave him grace, but it still affected our experience.

This was our second time here, overall it’s a nice place. Fine dinning atmosphere with a more laid-back vibe. This is not. IMO, a quick bite to eat place. It’s a come here order a drink, some food and relax. We order heavy appetizers and couple of drinks each. The entrees are pricey and steaks are a la carte with the sides being way over priced. We had the Stuffed Mushrooms and Steak Carpaccio, both were so good. Mushrooms are stuff with chicken and other good stuff. The steak was very thinly sliced and so very good. We did order the spinach strawberry salad and while it was ok, I wish we had just ordered another appetizer. Drinks were good.
