Quakertown Park — Attraction in Denton

Quakertown Park is a lovely park located next to the Emily Fowler Library. It has several walking paths and picnic tables, a large play area with swings, a slide, a musical instrument, and more for children to play on. There is a restroom area as well as street parking. But the best part is the trees. Quakertown Park has several dozen beautiful large pecan, red oak, and white oak trees. On September 22, 2024, while in the Denton TX area. I had decided to go out to a local library to do some studying. Got there a little early, so I decided to take a walk. In a not so far distance, I heard the faint sound of music. So my love for music got the best of me. It was the Denton annual Blues Festival. The playground is a fun place. Unfortunately on a walk through the trails just the other day, my first time back there, I ran into two homeless people and three different groups of shady looking people, either homeless, drinking, or possibly dealing drugs. There was even one guy stumbling across the bridge as though he was high on something. After that experience i wouldn't feel comfortable going here alone and especially not alone...
