Quakertown Park is a lovely park located next to the Emily Fowler Library. It has several walking paths and picnic tables, a large play area with swings, a slide, a musical instrument, and more for children to play on. There is a restroom area as well as street parking. But the best part is the trees. Quakertown Park has several dozen beautiful large pecan, red oak, and white oak trees. I like to come here when the weather is cooler and just walk for about 15-30 minutes, watch the squirrels and ducks. It's...

On September 22, 2024, while in the Denton TX area. I had decided to go out to a local library to do some studying. Got there a little early, so I decided to take a walk. In a not so far distance, I heard the faint sound of music. So my love for music got the best of me. It was the Denton annual Blues Festival. Awesome music, great food, and a peaceful but load atmosphere. Great job, musicians, and thank you, Denton TX. Oh needless to say I didn't get...

The playground is a fun place. Unfortunately on a walk through the trails just the other day, my first time back there, I ran into two homeless people and three different groups of shady looking people, either homeless, drinking, or possibly dealing drugs. There was even one guy stumbling across the bridge as though he was high on something. After that experience i wouldn't feel comfortable going here alone and especially not alone...

Very beautiful Park not far from the Denton square. Interesting history. Back in the 1920s it used to be an African American community that was uprooted as Denton and the college grew over time. The white citizens of Denton voted to have the community turned into a park and unfortunately the African Americans were forced off of the land loosing their homes. Overall beautiful Park lots of oak trees
