Denver Public Library: Bob Ragland Branch Library — Attraction in Denver

This library has beautiful grounds and plenty of modern lounge space, but not a lot of actual books/bookshelves compared to a normal library branch. This is an ideal place for hanging out and community events - i.e. if you’re not there for the books or if you already know what you already want to read and placed a hold. It's not a great place to just walk in with the vague idea of "seeing what's interesting" by browsing the stacks as the collection here is limited and not as varied. Depends on what you're looking for I guess - if you think of a library in terms of comfortable lounge space to spend an afternoon, it's a 5 star place to go. Very nice, modern facility. There are rooms for study upstairs. But the service was not helpful. Knowing what I know as a library grad student, I wasn’t asked questions or informed of the services available. Barely heard I was greeted. Much needed addition to the neighborhood. The one star review for this library makes no sense. Being greeted at a library in a whispered voice seems very on-brand for a library. The same individual also gave 5 stars to a Panera but only 1 star for a local park. Weird....
