FIT-AND-FINISH is lacking..
Excellent looking hotel with a good number of amenities on-site. Unfortunately the experience was quite a disappointment. The first thing I did was call to check availability. I was received poorly on the phone, at best. When I inquired onto the features of the different tiers of rooms, I was given little information. I inquired for more details and was met with a stale harshness. I let that pass and made my way to the hotel to speak with staff in-person. When I arrived to the hotel I picked up dinner at one of the on-site restaurants (Smok) with the intention of booking a room and having dinner within it. I waited for approx 10min for a staff member to be present at the front, where I was met with the same stale harshness as I experienced on the phone. I still elected to stay at the hotel, booking a corner suite on the 6th floor. The problems continued to present themselves. Between the broken and missing items in the room and the non-functional room phone, it became a very difficult to even begin to assess the issues. The reading lamps on the bed were loose and would not stay in one position (both of them). The garage door blind got stuck halfway up the first time it was used, making the view impossible to fully take in. The power cord for the garage door was duct taped to the walls at the ceiling. The smoke detector was covered with the hair dryer bag. The common area lamp was completely broken at the midsection, making the touch feature inoperable (flickering on and off the entire time it was plugged in). The lighting for the common room was plugged into extension cords running down the drywall and along the floor to the nearest outlet. The clock was an hour off (luckily it made me an hour early for wake-up instead of late). 24hr room service is advertised, but must be requested by PHONE. In my attempts to request the advertised robes and a wake up call, as well as get another common area lamp, I called the front desk from my cell phone several times. My calls went unanswered 6 times between 9pm (when I initially checked in for the night) and 12am (when I decided I had enough). The a.m. staff was very receptive and kind to me upon my early check-out. Due to that kindness, I decided to make a stop on the roof for breakfast. The food was DELICIOUS and the roof is super cool. I did provide this feedback to the staff in order to pass along the information. Although I was received well, I was offered no explanation. I was told that I might get a phone call to discuss these issues further and that my check-out would be delayed until noon in order to identify if there were any accomodations that could be made regarding the feedback I've provided. I'll update if this phone call to me is received.
At the price point, I am honestly embarrassed about the experience and barely wish to share so let me just stop here. My bill for my 11 hour stay came to nearly $400, although the experience was priceless. I'm saddened by one of the newest additions to the Denver hotel club in RiNo.

Read moreWhat happened to The Source? As a regular patron for over 4 years, I've watched this once-vibrant destination steadily decline. The property shows visible signs of neglect - the grounds aren't maintained to their previous standards, and wear and tear is evident throughout the building.||||The retail spaces are increasingly empty, with notable departures like the pizza place, Beet and Yarrow, and Bollata leaving significant vacancies. While some excellent tenants remain (Tamaki Den's sushi is still incredible, and Safta's pita and hummus are unmatched), the overall energy of the space has diminished considerably.||||Most troubling is their new predatory parking practice. The garage now apparently requires payment, but you wouldn't know it - there's no clear signage, and the "valet" section is perpetually unstaffed. After being a loyal customer and parking there countless times without issue, I recently received a $55 charge for parking in the same spot I've used for years while dining at Tamaki Den. When I disputed this with proof of patronage, I was met with aggressive collection attempts.||||The Source seems to be trying to make up for lost revenue through deceptive parking fees instead of addressing the real issues: maintaining the property and creating an environment where businesses can thrive.||||Bright spots:||||Some outstanding restaurants still remain (Tamaki Den, Safta)||The Woods still offers great views||Reunion's treats are still delicious||||Downsides:||||I've reached out to management numerous times the past two weeks, and no one has returned by message, I've even messaged them on other platforms like LinkedIn attempting to resolve my issue privately ||NEW stupid parking charges without proper signage and no valet||Property maintenance has declined significantly||Multiple empty retail spaces||ZERO communication regarding policy changes||Aggressive unethical collection tactics from a disbarred "attorney" for disputed parking||Overall atmosphere has lost its former appeal||||If you visit, document everything - take photos of where you park and keep all receipts. Better yet, consider supporting other local venues that still prioritize their customers and property.||||Management: I tried to resolve this without having to post a review for the past two weeks, but all of my messages went left "on read" if you actually read them. Who knows? Please focus on revitalizing this once-great space instead of alienating your loyal patrons with parking schemes. Denver has too many great alternatives to put up with this. ||||I'm going to miss Tamaki Den, and that sunset view at the Woods, but I'll live, but will you as you continue to lose local biz like mine? Don't forget, yours is the hotel I recommended to all my out of town guests, but there are better lodging options in the area who don't gauge their customers with BS...
Read moreI along with my brothers stayed (all mid 30's) stayed here for a 3 night "Guys Weekend". It was perfect for us and I could see it would be fun for couples as well. Location is awesome, the RINO neighborhood is super trendy and practically all brand new apts, fun eateries, art, micro-breweries and a short walk, scooter ride (we did that) or Uber to the downtown city itself, or stadiums. Location - we did 2 day trips, one to Colorado Springs for Garden of the Gods (awesome) which took about an 1.5hrs drive...and a second day trip up into the Mountains to Rocky Mountain National Park (about 8hrs look of gorgeous driving the entire route) The hotel location was the best of both worlds, easy access to the natural grandeur during the day via a car...and then awesome, food, bars, nightlife at our doorstep each evening.
The hotel is funky in design, the brewery in the lobby never seemed open but the beer tasting at checkin was very fun. We also enjoyed having half a dozen food options (all very foodie), gourmet coffee, even a french bakery right at our doorstep either in the hotel or the connect Source Market hall (an old Iron factory). People showed up here in mass every evening for the restaurants which were some of the best in the area...Only negative...the food and bars closed down pretty early, especially for hotel bars...they closed at Midnight...food ended 10-11...which made some nights difficult as we had to go many blocks away for a late night snack or simply stayed away.
Also for location note the hotel is in the newest development area...probalby soon it will have way more amenities close..but right now the heart of the breweries, bars, and food is on the opposite side of the railroad lines that run behind the hotel...with only 2 nearby crossings that means a good 15-20 min walk or a $10 uber to get around the tracks and get to those amenities...beyond the items located in the hotel...which as noted have limited hours. Overall we loved it here, the room is very modern (concrete ceilings and floors) but cozy, beds comfy, the shower is large and very luxurious and the room was spacious!
Families? I do NOT think it would be ideal amenities or location for families (rooms would be fine) but hotel is focused around brewery, food, even the pool is directly connected to a bar and limited hours so not...
