DSS Colorado - German Language Schools — Attraction in Denver

I inquired with this language school about taking German lessons while I was living in Denver. The lady who took my call was extremely polite, and friendly. She explained to me that classes had already begun, however she would see if anybody had some time set aside. I explained to her that I believed my german to be about intermediate, and she got me lined up to take an instructional class with Mareike. Mareike made contact with me shortly after via telephone call a week before our meeting was to take place. She also mentioned that if I needed to cancel, or to reschedule, to be sure to reach out to her in advance and let her know-no Brainer. We had our first lesson, and I left. A week later on the day I was to come back in for my second lesson, Mareike called me an hour before such lesson was to take place telling me she was doing some spring cleaning, before informing me that she believed my current level of Deutsche to be lower than that of someone at an intermediate level. She advised me that she did not teach the beginners courses, and canceled on me the day of my appointment 45 minutes before it was to take place. I have been attending classes at DSS for a few years and I love the program. The materials used are well developed to move at just the right pace to challenge us while allowing for real learning. Most importantly, my teacher Mareike is terrific! She’s knowledgeable and encouraging, always positive and very professional. She has gone out of her way to help me make up for missed classes as well as with areas where I’ve needed additional guidance. I had a great experience with DSS Colorado. All our questions about the program were answered within the same day, and I really appreciate how both teacher, staff and classmates were always super friendly. I am currently taking a group class with Mereike (level upper intermediate) and the lessons are very dynamic, but minding that anyone is left behind, using a book as a guide, but also complementing with discussions, current topics and other materials....
