I had a very unusual experience at this See's location this Christmas. Every year at Christmas, and often Easter I go to See's to buy holiday candy for my family. It is a tradition. This year - 2023 - I went to this location in early December. I was surprised to find that they had very little Christmas specialty candy available for purchase (especially chocolate Santa's, etc.) I was disappointed - and wanted to avoid a second trip later in the month when candy stores can be very crowded, and have long lines. So on impulse I purchased an aray of suckers ( spending over $50.00). I experienced buyers remorse almost instantly. By the time I exited the store, and got to my car I was regretting my purchase. I took my purchase home - and left it in the bag. The next day I went to Enstrom's Candy store in Cherry Creek, and was excited to see they had a vast aray of Christmas specialty candy - especially chocolates. I purchased my Christmas holiday candy, and left their store. A couple days later I called See's and asked them to clarify their return policy. The woman I spoke to told me it was acceptable to return my purchase - to just bring my receipt. The next day I returned to this See's location, and explained my situation to the older female clerk who had grey hair. The clerk immediately became visably annoyed, and irritated. She took a black writing pen and wrote a large R on the top of the boxes. I immediately noticed her attitude change, and asked her what was wrong. I candidly asked her, "Are you not going to be able to resell this product?" In a very irritated, and judgemental tone she told me that the candy could not be resold, and would be destroyed; she further stated they were required to do that by federal law. I immediately told her I had called to confirm their return policy, and was reassured that returning the suckers was acceptable. I asked her why I was not informed on the phone that their return policy required them to destroy returned candy. (If I had known that I would of just kept the candy.) The sales clerk - curtly informed me that they were not allowed to tell customers that destroying returned product is a company policy. I told the woman that I would rather not have the candy destroyed, and that I would keep it. That was when she informed me that she would have to charge me for the candy again - as she had already processed a refund to my card. I left the store exasperated. This employee was obviously irritated with my decision to return the product, and was not professional. What business is it of hers? The cost of the returned candy doesn't come out of her paycheck I am sure. Her judgmental attitude has probably cost her employer a loyal customer of over thirty years. I may well not be...
Read moreAlways enjoy walking inside of See’s candy shop. It’s like taking a trip back in time buying fresh candy from a glass display. Both employees working at the time made great eye contact, spoke loud and clear not to mention extremely patient and kind. The person before me felt rushed on their own and the employees ensured her to take her time. Such great customer service here! Valentines Day was fast approaching so I decided to stop a few days early in the week as they opened and it was starting to get crowded. They had a nice box and heart combo that was just what I needed for my special Valentine. The candy is fresh tasting and delicious straight from the case. The box wrapping is festive and perfect for the occasion. The free sample is the icing on the cake! I’ll be back when the next special occasion comes around 🤤🍫😋 Highly recommend taking the time to walk in and experience See’s candy, just be patient if...
Read moreI just left this store without buying chocolates. I came in to buy ready packed chocolates and they have one long line only to pay for tour candy, which is the same line that people are choosing to fill a special order box. No opportunity to grab and go. The clerk argued with me and said I was very impatient and everybody has to wait. i understand if there is only one clerk helping people but I should not have to wait for everybody to choose specialty boxes. Won't be back since argumentative clerk. . Too bad loss of sale and they don't seem to mind. This location on Colorado Blvd has consistently rude workers. Must be an awful place to work, everyone is...
