I attended a painting class with my aunt and we were both very disappointed. Our instructor, Jess, started out well and seemed nice. But she would move quickly through sections of her instruction and then say we would take a break. During the breaks, she did not interact with the students- instead she sat and chatted with a coworker at the front desk. She never came over to my aunt and I once to see how our paintings were coming along. My aunt was very frustrated during the class- she is not used to painting. The only other staff member circulating just told us to remember to paint the sides of our canvas. The encouragement and enthusiasm was totally missing. Super great experience at the studio on several occasions. Always fun!! NOW, when we’re isolating inside our homes, they come through with a great experience despite the restrictions. I did the heart in the sand lesson and it was wonderful! My login went to my junk folder so I missed the actual live lesson with chat, but I was able to login and watch within the 24 hour window and it was great. I’m so happy I signed up. What a fun place to be for a team builder or a mom’s night out! The artists are patient and guide you every step of the way! My paintings make me look like I’ve been painting my whole life! There is space for snacks, drinks and you are surrounded by restaurants that you can order from and bring in meals, salads or snacks with you.
