I’ve always had positive experiences at GameStop until today. I felt the need to warn others about my experience at this specific GameStop. I went in today to purchase a game with my 3 year old daughter. Upon entering I saw a wet sign for the floor. Held my daughter’s hand approached the toys they had in the front. Me and my daughter were talking about the things we wanted to get. I go around behind the shelf to hear a man saying you’re being rude I think you should leave the store. So I turn around only to realize this worker is talking to me! Only to realize there’s no one else in this store but me, him and my daughter. He told me that I was being rude because he called my name ten times and that I acknowledged him and continued to ignore him?! (Considering he doesn’t even know my name so I’m not sure why he was even saying he called my name) I was so flabbergasted and confused I didn’t understand what was happening and I still don’t. I told him that I didn’t hear him at all and that I wasn’t trying to be rude that I was just talking about toys with my child. What if I told him that I was 60% deaf?! He told me he wanted to warn me about the wet spots in the store so we didn’t fall. I said yes I saw the sign… and he still wanted me to leave and said he has the right to refuse service and wouldn’t even give me his name at all. I also told him I actually came in here to buy a specific game but he didn’t care and told me to leave, that he had the right to refuse service. This man was clearly on drugs or was having some psychotic break but I truly was uncomfortable and scared considering me and my child were the ONLY ones in the store. This person should not be allowed to work in customer service. And how many times has this happened to other customers? And how much money is GameStop losing because of this person. My advice, go to a different GameStop. But I will never go back to another GameStop again because of what happened tonight. And I will be letting everyone I know about this place and what happened there tonight. I did reach out to district manager so hopefully they actually resolve the issue with...
Read moreThis is the ABSOLUTE worst gamestop in town or south jersey for that matter. This employee Brooke is the one many complain about and I see why. She pressures, no, tries to guilt you into unnecessary warranties that most gamestop employees know you’ll never buy and usually don’t bother to push again and again.
Then after denying game warranties she makes a scene and has a whole skit she does for every customer to make them feel false guilt or like the games will break asap.
The biggest issue was with used console. When asking for a replacement controller the first time she jammed the joy cons into the controller case and said that was sufficient. The second time she refused to even see how it didn’t work again. Taking “subjective opinion” to a whole new level.
I don’t have the strength to jam things together with my evident condition, but she seemed to think I could manage to push that joy cons in. Just inconsiderate and ignorant. Furthermore it wasn’t even the right controller or nintendo brand, so it should have been replaced regardless.
Long story short I took this console across the street to another gamestop and without even explaining the issue with the controller they pulled a new one out and replaced it asking me “does this work now?”. That was customer service. This Brooke individual is going to lose a lot of buisness for this location. I will never come to this location again unless this employee is gone and thrown out of...

I attempted to return a backbone today (hand-held device that attaches to iPhone for remote PS play). This device is advertised to fit an iPhone 14 but it does not. The shift manager Joe, as he called himself, was very sassy and rude. His exact words were, “you should have done your research on this device instead of just reading the information on the box. You should have read through the comments and I’m sure someone would have said that it doesn’t fit.”
Blaming the consumer for false advertisement is just wrong on so many levels. Needless to say, I will not give my hard earned dollars to GameStop any longer because the “leaders” that GameStop promote and employ, clearly do not...
