This is a nice clean family-friendly camping resort in a great location with friendly staff. There is a nice camp store, game room, two playgrounds, bathroom facilities, and pool onsite. There is a bus stop right at the campground with a free shuttle that takes you to the popular Hershey attractions. We stayed in the carousel circle area. This is the pull-through classic RV park section of the campground with full hookups. The sites are a little tight here, but it's all wooded, which is more than I can say for most RV parks. If I had to do it over again, I would have stayed in Midway Meadows or Pioneer Heights, which have sites with more room/privacy, though where we stayed was still very good! There are also plenty of tent sites with and without hookups. I had two gripes about the place, though they were minor. First, there is a parking lot right at the entrance to Carousel Circle camping area. This parking area is incredibly poorly placed, as it blocks the entrance to Carousel Circle. The way in which the campground is set up, you must make a u-turn from the main entrance to get into Carousel Circle. If the parking lot is empty, this is no issue. However, if the lot of full, it makes getting into Carousel Circle difficult, especially for the larger rigs (and this is the larger rig camping area). I watched time and again people struggle to get around the parked cars into their campsites here. This really should be redesigned. Our other gripe was their pool closing. We were there in mid-September, a week after Labor Day. The weather was unseasonably warm, with temps approaching the 90s. It was during the RV show, and the place was packed. There's no reason they couldn't have kept the pool open with the weather as warm as it was, and plenty of people to take advantage of it. And for the cost of a site during the RV show, the pool should have been open, weather cooperating. This being said, we still give it five stars, and will surely camp here again.

I've stayed here twice so far, both times it was not busy, and both times in Carousel Circle area. This is a pretty large campground with all different types of sites and different sized cabins. There are a couple of playgrounds, the pools, basketball, sand volleyball, horseshoes, and of course the shuttle to Hersheypark. The staff is very friendly (I was walking around yesterday getting exercise and checking out the Pioneer Heights area which I hadn't seen before, and an employee was cleaning the laundry up there and made a point to greet me and ask me how my stay was. Like, no big deal or anything, but she could have just ignored me, I wouldn't have thought she was rude or anything, she was working.) There is a busy railroad track right next to the campground, which could be really cool if someone in your family is into trains. It could be less cool if you weren't aware and booked a site next to it and found the noise disturbing. The trains don't honk super close to the campground (you do hear honking though, there must be a crossing somewhere nearish) and I live near a train track so the noise doesn’t bother me. The only complaint I have is that at least some of the staff do not understand about driving RVs. This is definitely not a problem unique to this campground, but both times they gave us the wrong directions to our site. Both times we were in the block between Rd. C and Rd. D, and they told us to drive down C. If you do that there are 2 problems. 1, the site numbers are visible from Rd. D, and 2, you have to back in, which isn't really a problem, except it defeats the purpose of a pull-through... I suggest you just look at the map, the sites are all angled, so you can tell which road you should go down. But in case the campground reads this, I really suggest you get someone who actually drives a big rig to give the employees a little training, because it could cause accidents, especially with newer campers who don't know better.

It's a nice big campground where sites vary heavily between areas. But some sites, especially the one we got, are not flat and are on a hill, some steep so you have to get lucky to get a good site. We stayed in Carousel Circle at one of the back sites and our tounge at the front was on the ground. That area also has no room for both a RV and a tow-vehicle because the sites are extremely small and close together. Thankfully there was no one next to us as our slide outs were OVER their firepit! Carousel Circle also has no bathhouse so you have to walk, sometimes far, to the main building for bathrooms and laundry but it's also far from the train tracks but near the main road. When full it's hard to go through with a camper due to all the cars parked slightly off the road but it's not terrible for a one-nighter. Midway Medow has nice wide sites but some are very short and are close to the train tracks where trains go by often. Pioneer Heights have the biggest sites but are even closer to the train tracks, where the train blows its horn often. Lazy River Rest has the longest sites with nice wide sites and is far from the tracks so you don't get too bothered by the train, with a nice river behind them.. but there's only a few sites in that area as it's also the group camping area. The central public area is nice but most of it was closed as it was after Labor Day so I can't talk about the pool or shuttle service. We also arrived after 4 PM so the general store and front office were also closed. The restrooms are big and clean and they do come and pick up any trash left at the end of your sites. Dogs are not allowed in the cabins but are allowed in sites. TL;DR: Each area has its drawbacks, so pick your poison.. Carousel Circle has the smallest sites and near the road. Midway Medows & Pioneer Heights are near train tracks used all day and night. Lazy River Rest is secluded but very few sites. Cabins don't allow dogs.

This was a wonderful campground in a super convenient location. I stayed here while I was attending the RV show at the Giant Center. Most people were staying in their RVs while I stayed in a cabin. The check-in process was really easy (made reservations several months in advance) and the map they provided made finding the cabin easy. There were some great services such as a store for basic groceries, campfire materials and morning coffee as well as swimming pools, a game room and plenty of security and camp helpers. The atmosphere was really pleasant. NOTE - if you do rent a cabin, you must bring your own sheets, pillows, towels, soaps, etc. Cabins do come with cooking utensils and a few other basics. WiFi goes in and out. Cable tv worked fine. The reason I am only giving it 4 starts is because there was no indication when I reserved the cabin (which I booked because it was a little more secluded) that there is a train that runs past it. And trains run ALL night long and they are very LOUD. Even with earplugs, it was not something that could be blocked out. This should be made clear to those renting cabins or spaces in this area. That being said, everything else about this campground was fine.

Decided to stay here due to the short distance to the Hershey attractions as we went to a concert at the Giant Center while we were there, so that made it very convenient. Upon arrival, we found that someone else was in the site we were assigned, but the staff was super nice about it and found a couple of sites available for us to chose from. We were in the full hookup section, the site was fairly level with a gravel base. Unfortunately, the site are very close together, we didn't have a campfire while we were there, but I would almost be afraid of being too close to my neighbor. It appears the main section where the full hookup sites are was probably built 40 years ago when RV's weren't so big. There were a lot of big trucks parked along the roads which made it difficult to pull in and out of sites at times. On the good side, we used the shuttle to the park, which was very convenient. The park was very clean and seemed to be well maintained. Any staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Not sure if we will be back due to the tight quarters.
