I’m writing this review in regards to a negative experience I had involving an employee at this location.
I am a DoorDash driver and I was sent on a run to pick up an order at this location during store hours. When I arrived it was a few minutes past midnight (going into Sunday) which is when they close but in my mind if they accepted an order while the store was open then you would think they would still honor the customers order and have it ready for pick up when I got there. But no.
I pulled up to the drive thru as directed by DD and immediately without even getting to say anything the kid working the headset/drive thru orders began shouting at me “the storeeee is closeeeeddd” while dragging out his words to emphasize his statement. I proceeded to say nicely, “Hi, I’m here to pick up a DD order for so and so…” Immediately he repeated the same statement “the store is closed” dragging out his words to be arrogant again.
At this point, I asked him why they took on the order if they aren’t going to fulfill it? With an attitude he says “do you doordashers not know your job, they send doordashers too late you idiot!” Then he proceeded to insult, mock and yell at me through the speaker box being aggressive with no care in the world about how he’s speaking to me. As I drove around to the side of the drive thru he was hiding and nowhere in sight on purpose so I couldn’t see his face yet I could hear him still yelling and throwing out slurs and ignorant rhetoric until I left.
This kid had a huge ego, literally told me he didn’t care if he got fired and blatantly tried to intimidate me. As a DD driver, we’re sent to a lot of sketchy/unsafe locations and we get low pay more than half the time we dash… we don’t get reimbursed for gas/car maintenance/mileage. We earn our money based on tips from customers and a small base pay from DD which can be between $2-10 but usually on the lower side. My time is precious when it comes to earning money and fulfilling an order is just as important. If we don’t fulfill an order we lose out on that pay completely! All time/gas wasted.
All we’re trying to do is fulfill our orders and do our jobs (safely) just like anyone else. Interactions like this make both customers and DD drivers unsafe!! Imagine what this kid could be doing to people’s food if he’s speaking to customers and DD’s this way!! This behavior is completely immature, unprofessional, ignorant and down right disrespectful. Terrible customer service skills and no respect for his job position. This happened Saturday, December 16th 2023 into Sunday. I have pictures of one of the workers vehicles who was there that day, there was at least 2 people.
There needs to be full accountability for his actions and briefings on hospitality standards with the store workers. His leadership needs to come up with better training for staff, either that or stop hiring ignorant kids.

Read moreDisappointing service, I came to Hershey park and booked the Hershey Lodge after all day ride I came back to room and plan for taco close by place mobile order went to pick up lobby was closed and was 5 car ahead me in drive thru it’s take 25 minutes to get the window ordered craving box and deluxe craving box two teenagers working handed me bag saying everything thing in bag and two drinks they gave me one was watery out of syrup brisk dragon tea, the bag was lighter two combos I ordered they said everything thing in bag when I backed to lodge they only give me 12 Cinnabon delight and 1 crunchy taco in bag surprise me it was Saturday and 12:30pm my son was hungry I drove back taco and waited in drive thru for 35 minutes line was bigger when I told about incident to female they didn’t not answer me and guy started to talk and said sorry give me the order number when I came to window pick up two female worker laughing and when I told them change the drink which was out of syrup and gave me the watery drink she refused me another employee coming asking me what was the issue and then she told me they are out of brisk dragon tea she gave me the another one , they don’t care about customer service only they have attitude , didn’t apologize or sorry on window that we made mistakes they handed my order when I came back to room open bag no napkins and utensils my son have to use his hand for eating fiesta potatoes, when you have franchise you need to have good customer service not hiring the people who don’t have the knowledge of food and service very disappointing service I had my dinner almost 1:am recommending not to go over there people hotel or resort guests they good only...
Read moreEvery once in awhile I get a craving for tacos. I won't go to this one in Hershey again. Terribly managed. The three employees were doing what they could as fast as they could, but management needs to better staff the shift. Talking with others who were waiting, this wasn't an exception tonight, it's normal to be understaffed at this location. I came inside after seeing how long the drive thru line was, only to find people inside waiting on their orders too. You could tell they had been waiting along time. I should have left then as others did after me.
And then from the back a mgr comes out of the office. Does he jump into help like a good leader would? No; in fact, when the employee who is taking customer orders at both the drive thru window and the front counter tells him she needs "Ones" he wants to know if she checked the other register. She is in the middle of taking a customer's order, so she doesn't stop taking care of the customer to check the other register. 30 seconds later, he asks again if she checked the other register. She needs "Ones" so either get them for her or check the d--m register yourself!!! The food was almost as bad as the service. How disappointing after having craved a taco for two hours before I gave in and went to get some. Next time I'll just let the craving pass.
