My basic cell phone broke and I went into this store Wednesday because I remembered Kurt my salesperson at the Colonial Park Mall Store stated he worked here too! Learning from Kurt my basic cell phone was unfixable, Kurt took the time to explain to me the options I had with getting a new Basic Cell Phone or a new Smart Phone! I appreciated Kurt so much because He really listened to me, did not rush me to make a decision, and gave me no high pressure sales speech. I left yesterday to follow up on some of the options Kurt suggested. I called Kurt this morning to let him know I made a decision and ask him if he was able to order me a new basic cell phone I saw on the Verizon Wireless web site. He said he was able and if I would come in today he would get a used basic cell phone ready for me so I would not be with out service until my new ordered phone comes in! What a wonderful generous offer to make sure I still had access to a phone that worked for safety and security reasons! I think Kurt did all he could plus I feel he went above and beyond what i expected to keep me as a Verizon Customer, keep me Happy, keep me feeling safe and secure, and still stay within my budget! Read moreI have been a Verizon customer since 2009. Same phone since then too, the flip phone the Boulder. Well it finally died a few months ago. We had just come off a Very bad experience with another Verizon retailer (at harrisburg mall) lies, tricks etc that you sometimes expect (unfortunately) with big name retailer's. I will tell you that is NOT what Kurt at this Verizon store did. I went in skeptical and leery but still needing a new and reliable product. I work a heavy duty job and I needed a phone that can take a beating and I didnt want to get screwed in the price or with surpirse fees etc. Kurt was upfront, no frills and straight talking. I took my time deciding, he was very patient with me. Explained it very clearly several times and in writing begore I committed to a price. Gave me his cell for texting questions, which he did his best to answer even after I bought the phone. Pleased to say a few months later I am still pleased with my purchase and with Kurt. Four stars all just for Kurt at this location. I would have given 5 just for him but it is after all still Verizon and in my experience sales guys like Kurt within Verizon are the minority unfortunately....
Read moreHidden fees galore! Their customer service is good, but what they do not tell you is that you will pay for it. If you activate a new phone with them, it's $40; conveniently the same place that Verizon wireless charges you to activate a new phone (so you may be tricked into not catching it at first). However, do not be deceived, as you will pay BOTH fees if you purchase from here. They charge you $40 to take the phone out of the box and help you set it up (all which is very straight forward and done for free at any other phone retailer). But then Verizon charges you $40 again after. And their phone base prices are more expensive than retail prices so be sure to compare prices when you are shopping. I would strongly recommend going to a true Verizon store not this "authorized retailer" for all reasons mentioned above as well as the fact they could not process discounts here or process a trade in promotion (as "their computer was down" just as was mentioned in a previous review).
