Elmwood Cemetery — Attraction in Detroit

Elmwood Cemetery is a historic cemetery in the heart of Detroit, Michigan. I went there recently to visit some of my loved ones' grave sites. The staff was very helpful at precisely mapping out the graves (3 to be exact) and even provided some nearby landmarks to make it easier for me to find them and it worked. I found all three of them fairly quickly.

I have taken two tours at Elmwood Cemetery, an Arboretum tour and an historical tour. Both tours were very well narrated and informative. While the Arboretum tour showcased the variety of trees, while enjoying a walk in the beautiful grounds of a park-like environment, the Historical tour explored in depth, themes of local history, architecture and notable burials. This was one of the last places I wanted to visit before moving further south. Came here to come look at my fathers grave one last time before leaving.
