DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION IF YOU HAVE LIFE ESSENTIAL MEDICATION
You might be tempted to use this Walgreens as it has a great location but I would use extreme caution.
I have medication that I need to not have constant seizures, and have had several issues with the pharmacy here.
What happens is that two refills will be used for one refill. The pharmacist techs will say they “used one refill to check” which makes no sense. This was noticed by my endocrinologist as I suddenly was trying to get a new script months early.
Thankfully my endocrinologist wrote a new script, but at least two of my refills disappeared so I left the location. This had its own issues as getting your prescription out of this location is apparently a slog, as told to me by other Walgreens.
The reason I made this review though is that this same issue happened to a friend on SSRI’s, which when stopped suddenly can cause withdrawals.
She tried to get her prescription, was told no, they had no refills. Psychiatrist said, no I can’t this is too early to write a script. Pharm tech said they had used a refill to “check” so ask Doctor for script. Doctor says that isn’t how this works.
When she tried to transfer this location refused other pharmacies calls for days, then when they finally got through would say there was no record to transfer. Then when contacted they would say they had transferred it to the other pharmacy.
Obviously someone here continuously is messing up with essential medications.
Add in that it closed for 3 days with no warning with prescriptions inside, and I would avoid unless absolutely necessary. Honestly this place just...
Read moreI accidentally left my medication in another state. I won't be going back until this weekend. The Walgreens store on Courthouse in Chester, VA is the store that routinely handles my prescriptions and I am more than pleased with the service. I have called the telephone number listed on the store's website for this store - on Jefferson Ave - a number of times today to see if I might get an emergency order of an active prescription until Wednesday. The phone rang and rang and after about 4-5 minutes each time, a busy signal came on! No one even bothered to answer the phone to ask if I would hold. I called this same number last night when I arrived in Michigan and there was a message saying the store was closed -so I know the number was right. If you are busy, couldn't you just answer the phone and let persons who call realize that you might understand they are not just calling to chat? Thank you...
Read moreI went to this Walgreens to print a FedEx return label. The scanner would not read the code, and entering it manually did not work. The employee was professional and did what he could, but he had no options to offer. He could not print it from a computer, he could not accept an emailed label, and he did not have the access needed to try another method.
My issue is with Walgreens for providing a FedEx service with no backup plan. If the system fails, customers are stuck and employees are left with no way to assist. I took a round-trip Uber for a simple task and left with nothing because there is no workaround in place.
The staff was not the problem. The system is. Walgreens needs to give employees the tools and access to actually support customers when...
