when I go in here excellent service it does not translate on the phone call though. I'm leaving this message because I was definitely disrespected I called because I had a question about whether or not they had items in stock due to them putting whatever they want in my burrito when I order online (I'm plantbased; if they are out of stock they should cancel the order not just put what they have in the burrito and still serve it that's unprofessional and inconsiderate, also never even got to explain to them the reason for my call never even got to speak to anyone besides being told to wait one moment and after I told them I have been waiting for 20 minutes she said I know, we're still handling something) I wish someone would have took initiative at least after the 15 minute mark and said wait one second this lady has been on hold for a minute let me take care of her because all I had was a question so that I could order my food. In their defense I did call them multiple times after I had been hold for more than 10 minutes ( and I was placed on hold again on another line) so they may have felt a little pressure with people in front of them and their phones ringing but initiative definitely could've been taken. At no point did I get irate and start yelling. I won't be eating here until someone calls me back and apologizes because I actually love this place and I don't appreciate this at all. I've been eating here since 2022 I consistently recommend people to come here as well because the food is great and the people are great I need y'all to do a better job on those...
Read moreI will be visiting at least once a week. I can’t believe I drove past this place so much thinking that Bread Basket was doing a summer promotion of ceviche. I left the spa last night hungry and craving authentic Mexican food. I’m forever grateful for the owners existence. I enjoyed hearing his passion, and his reason behind opening this establishment. The main reason was that it’s so hard to find authentic Mexican food in Detroit, with authentic flavors that don’t taste bland, or like “Tex Mex”. I was craving nachos, so the owner, and his staff put something together for me.
He gave me a same of the street corn, and I fell in love instantly. You can taste the char grill taste in corn, and it was seasoned to perfection. Never ever leave without getting a side of it. I’ll probably never eat at chipotle, or qdoba again if I don’t have to, and the food is so good that it puts many of the Mexican restaurants in Midtown, Corktown, and downtown to shame.
Today is Sunday and I would’ve loved to grab some for breakfast, but I’ll settle for something else and visit them again tomorrow.
The portions are perfect, especially if you do a build your own bowl, it’s enough for two, and the pricing is fair for the amazing quality. I’ve paid more for lower quality. Oh, and how about if you want guacamole, it’s not sitting in a huge container, they actually cut open and avocado, throw it in the mortar and pestle, and make it from scratch right in front of you in under a minute.
Again thank you for your existence. I’m...
Read moreChipotle who? Seaviche Tacos & Bowls makes it painfully obvious how much Chipotle has been robbing us all these years with their inconsistent portions and half-hearted scoops that barely cover the bottom of the bowl. Here, you actually get what you pay for—generous servings piled high with fresh, vibrant ingredients that taste like someone genuinely cared about the meal they were making.
Every taco and bowl at Seaviche is bursting with real flavor and texture. No sad, bland rice or watery salsa pretending to be exciting. The proteins are perfectly seasoned, the veggies are crisp, and the sauces are legit. You can taste the difference in every bite, and it makes you wonder why you ever settled for those stingy Chipotle portions where you have to beg for a little extra and still get charged more.
The staff is welcoming, fast, and clearly takes pride in serving something way above the usual assembly-line fare. You walk out feeling satisfied, not cheated. If you’re tired of paying premium prices for skimpy, uninspired bowls, come to Seaviche and remember what good food is...
