Ralph C. Wilson Centennial Park — Attraction in Detroit

Hey everyone! Let’s take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this place. It’s a lovely spot, and we should all take care of it.

Now, I know some of you might be thinking about bringing a BBQ, but let’s be honest, most of us aren’t the best at keeping our messes under control. So, I’d rather we avoid that.

Pets are welcome, which is great! But I’m hoping they’ll make sure they clean up after their furry friends. Or maybe they can enforce some rules for certain pets.

Parking can be a bit of a hassle on busy days, but I’m sure they’ll figure that out.

One thing they could definitely add is umbrellas on the benches during the summer. It would be so much more comfortable.

And oh, one small bridge - the metal rail on one side is really low (about 7 inches off the ground). It’s a bit scary for people, especially kids. Maybe they can make it a bit higher?

Absolutely stunning addition to the Detroit Riverfront! The park just opened and it’s quickly become one of the best destinations in the city for families and anyone who loves the outdoors.

The playground is a child’s dreamscape — complete with massive animal-themed jungle gyms, slides, and climbing structures that spark imagination and adventure. It’s colorful, creative, and safe — kids could spend hours exploring.

Beyond the playground, the park has beautiful walking paths, views of the Detroit River, and access to the new William Davidson Sport House, where you can rent equipment or enjoy activities year-round.

It’s the perfect mix of fun, design, and community — Detroit at its best. Highly recommend checking it out, especially on a sunny...

I went with my brother recently and was impressed with the park and its' plethora of amenities,not to mention that it offers a magnificent view of the Detroit skyline( for a skyscraper enthusiast like myself with the new Hudsons' site tower,Ally Detroit Center,50 West Jefferson and the Marriot Boel at Renaissance Center!! That perspective alone made this a spectacular park for me!! The domed basketball court also made a positive impression on me. Everyone I encountered were very friendly and welcoming!!
