My kids and I waited excitedly as this was built and we have gotten to play there for hours the last two days. However, I have some serious concerns about the safety and lack of accessibility of the playground equipment. I'm reviewing this at the end of December and the fake grass is already shredding in the hill area, creating a tripping hazard on the steepest hill. The main slide is completely inaccessible for mobility challenged individuals because of the steep angle. All three slides are metal, which is going to create a burning hazard when temps go up. The climbing structure and seesaw are fun. The rock walls are also neat. But my greatest concern is the splash pad that 1. Is cobbled with stones and 2. contains at least five huge boulders. It is unthinkable to me to plan a wet play area with both of these factors. Another parent mentioned to me the concern of the placement as well, which is directly only a few feet from the street corner, with no barrier for small children. I'm hopeful that by raising these concerns now in the winter, the city will have time to rectify these major planning mistakes.

Very modern and unique park in Douglasville, the park hosts a Farmers Market on Tuesdays from 3pm to 7pm / May - October! Great playground area for kids, stage area for concerts and local events, bike repair station with tire pump, very impressed the stage building has a rain catching system on the roof! All around great park :)

Superb idea Douglas County officials. Thank you! The architect is beautiful and creative, and the buildings, especially the rooftop top, are incredible. Buuuut, there are some post-production issues that should be addressed. The slides are metal. We're they meant to be art? Because they are functional in the 99% temperature, they are scolding 🔥 🥵. Also, the plastic grass/turf is great for maintenance, I suppose buuut it's incredibly hot without shoes...
