Kuumba Coffee — Restaurant in Douglasville

Visiting from Florida and I needed a real coffee place. The reviews for Kuumba were great so my wife and I decided to visit. Absolutely amazing!!! The espresso, (they also offer pour over coffee too), the breakfast sandwich (vegetarian or vegan if you desire), the avocado toast and cheese danish were delicious! There are other food options as well. The vibe, the background music, and especially the service were perfect. They pay so much attention to their customers. It is family owned and we were so impressed. We spoke with Dominic and he gave us the full story of how Kuumba came to be and we loved it. I highly recommend anyone visiting the Douglasville area and/or western Atlanta to check it out. You will not be disappointed. Every visit for me to Atlanta will involve a visit to Kuumba. Highly impressed!!!...

Just moved to the area & found our coffee spot! The specials already have me coming in 2x a week! The Japanese ice coffee is strong & delightful! Any drink I have received has been on point!!!!! sweeten to my liking! (&& I like it swweeeet). I don't even have to ask for more or them to change it like other places. My friend had gotten a caramel apple latte & he says the same. He also had a special soup which for a big guy, even the lil cup full filled him up!

The atmosphere is like a jazz cafe, quiet, with slow jams playing along as people come to read or work, while giving support to community & advertising local services. The ladies at the register are so sweet to take your order & the guys in the back will make sure your food & drink taste great!!

This is my Absolute Favorite coffee shop. The staff is always friendly. The atmosphere is amazing. They're always playing a great selection of music. They also sell items other than coffee and tea. They sell books, stickers, scarves, candles, and more. My preferred drink is the Dirty White Chocolate Chi Latte with Almond or Oat milk (Hot or Cold) with an extra shot of espresso. You can't go wrong with this drink. I'm not a huge coffee drinker and this place offers plenty of options. Did I mention, they're vegan. If you are a meat eater, they have those options too. They have daily food menu that may changes day to day. I love their chicken salad sandwich and their Shrimp Corn Cowder. I can eat that cowder EVERY SINGLE DAY! It's DELICIOUS. I would highly recommend Kuumba. It's worth trying...
