Colorado Ski Shop — Attraction in Dover

We’ve picked up ski gear to rent a couple times to use at Mt. Snow - fair prices, convenient location, not too long of a wait even at peak morning time. Have rented skis, poles, ski boots, and helmets. We had a blast on the mountain and all equipment worked great for us.

After getting home from our last trip, I realized I left a pair of custom orthopedic inserts in the ski boots we returned - argh! Called them the next day and Mark was kind enough to look through their boot inventory on the spot, finding them relatively quickly and working out a process to mail them back.

Already had a positive experience with this shop, and was so impressed with their customer service in returning what would have been a very difficult and expensive item to replace.

I got taken advantage of by the shop owner, Mark. He claimed that my two days of skiing on green/ blue slopes damaged the “brand new” skis to a point where I needed to purchase them. He called me 3 hours after I dropped them off, once the store has already closed, hoping that I would have left town unable to assess the damage myself. I came back in the next morning, and the skis he claimed were mine had a different piece of tape on them with my name written out differently than the ones I skied in all weekend. I will also add that there were several pairs of the same skis sitting around the shop so would be very easy to switch one pair out for another. Went in for snowboard boot fittings only, ended up with 2 boards/bindings setup. Ben was by far the most helpful person in the Dover area -- even after going to other local ski/snowboard shops. He took his time to teach us the "whys" of gear (e.g why should begginers get softer bindings/boots/board, how does this all work together)

My girlfriend and I are beginner snowboarders but have been going consistently so we looked to start buying our own gear. We met Ben who took his time and answered all our questions (we probably asked way too many). He had some boards and bindings in stock that he suggested to us and did not pressure us at all to buy.
