Dover Motor Speedway, The Monster Mile...... What an awesome time we had, and to experience it as VIPs and with my son and my father, it was the greatest. Three generations, making memories together at the races. My neighbor works for a racing team and got us VIP passes, which basically granted us pretty much unlimited access to just about everything under the sun racing related for the whole weekend. My parents frequent Dover Downs hotel and Casino and have a casino host. Too bad I didn't didn't get a chance to meet her. I wish I had because she's awesome too. She help my mother with getting a second room for my son and I to spend the weekend in and also got us tickets to a second race, and we ended up watching the Bet Rivers 200 from the indoor grandstand. Because of our VIP passes, we got to hang out in the race track garage area and the pits, which inabled us to get up close and personal with the cars, the drivers, and the pit crews. My son and I even got to meet and get a selfie with a racing legend none other than Richard Childress himself. Cool guy and knows his selfies. He had my son move over, so he was in the center of the picture and then helped hold my arm study while I was snapping the pic. It was priceless and totally unforgettable. No matter where we were in the pits and no matter how in the way I felt, all of the race team crew members were courteous, cool, calm, and collective. It's like they were used to people being in their way or something, lol. The next day, we attended the Wurth 400. We had seats that were right around the start finish line in the regular grandstand. This part of our experience was a little different than the rest, this due to my fellow Nascar fans being rude unprepared and kinda derogatory at times, but that had nothing to do with the venue and even then it did not take away from our 5 star Nascar experience. The only advice that I would have for the powers that be at Dover Motor Speedway would be that you need more food and / or drink vendors and possibly some vendors selling at least drinks in the stands during the race because no one wants to wait an hour in line for a bottle of water when they could be watching the racing action. That being said, I definitely can't end my review or say enough about the Nascar staff, the security staff, all of the other track staff, and the volunteers that make these races happen and run smoothly. Everyone was on their A game and was working hard to make our Nascar racing experience safe and great and everything we hoped it would be.

The hotel has finally reopened after the pandemic closure and it is an excellent start. There are touchless machines that takes the temperature of everyone who enters and keeps a count of everyone entering and leaving to maize social distances. Circles are placed on the floors for appropriate distance even in elevators. Everyone has on a mask and staff are very proactive in ensuring that every mouth and nose remain covered for the duration of the stay. The only places to eat are Meatballs and ..., the Garden Cafe which has a very limited menu and Sweet Perks located near the rear of the casino. On a bank of 4 machines 2 will be turned off and table games require you to wear a mask and a face shield. The stag is working around the clock to wipe down EVERYTHING and note items that have been sanitized. Clear shields are up around cashier cages and the capital club but you're still able to feel the comfort of being serviced well. You can only stay 2 nights at a time and housekeeping only services the room at the end of your stay. Excellent trip and the machines are hot 🔥! Come and enjoy your stay.

Okay, I'll give it a 3 for the gift of a complimentary room on a Saturday.... please note I am not a Karen, lol Unfortunately, it was not a king bed as reserved. As I entered the room it smelled of cigar. Not wanting to be charged $250 for the smell I called the front desk and reported. They immediately addressed and ionized the room. Room was very clean and spacious. If you like a very firm mattress and very firm pillows you will love their bed set up, I prefer in the middle. We headed downstairs to play slots and find something to eat. The Sugar restaurant has very good food. Best angus beef burger ever! The big down side was the restaurant was lit up like a stadium with lights and extremely loud music you experience during your entire dining experience. Wow, not sure who thought this idea was great for all ages. The young crowd loved it. There is a steakhouse available for dining, but be prepared to spend $$$$. Back to the room... Unfortunately the room next door set their alarm clock for 6 o'clock am and the alarm proceeded to beep for the next two hours. Finally after calling room check they came up and turned it off. As far as the slots, I never heard one person yell "whoop ". My husband was lucky. I had fun and contributed to the employee fund, lol.

Went to both Nascar races in 2018 (May & October Playoff race) and each time had a great time. The key is to get the track early to get a good parking spot close to the merchandise haulers. You have to tailgate if you go to a race.... it's a must. Before the sunday Race they have family friendly activities all around the track and games/prizes to win. Some drivers even do Q&A's and autograph sessions before the Race so be on the lookout for that. Once inside the track the facilities are quite nice, they have elevators at almost every section for easy accessibility. You can bring In your own cooler with food & drinks, and all seats are metal benches so definitely bring a seat cushion. You can re enter this track at any time, they will scan your ticket when you leave and enter. Overall the food and amenities inside and outside of the track are nice. There's a hotel attached to the track for a more premium experience. It's a great place to spend the day or weekend and almost every seat is a good one

Attended first Nascar race here, was a nice experience. The speedway was clean, had a ton of free things to the public to do before the race began outside of the speedway. Free samples and products, free autographs and they had a free concert with the Brett Michaels Band the day we went. Our seats were great, on turn 4 and could see everything. You could see pit row and every mishap that happened was on turn 4 that day. If you're a Nascar fan and haven't been to a live race, I suggest that you put it on your bucket list! It's way better hearing the engines and watching the race in person, than on TV. Best advice I can give, is to take food, beverages, earplugs and dress for the weather! A bottle of Pepsi was $4, a pretzel was $4 and $2 extra for a small cup of cheese, a fresh squeezed lemonade was $7 and 1 can of beer was $8.

Stayed in the hotel passing thru, reviewed seem ok, but was highly disappointed. Front desk staff were so very nice! And the wait staff in the breakfast buffet super but the Cashier was rude, especially that early in the morning. The bed was super comfy, had a great night sleep, the view of the race track and the sunrise gorgeous, but the mirrors in the bathroom were disgusting!! Splatteredwith what appeared like spit or bodily fluids from pimples... gross! I went to take a bath, opted for a shower after seeing long pubic hair in the tub. Definitely grossed me out. I only checked in at 11 p.m. the night before and stayed until 1030 the next morning but I would definitely not stay again. Left a note to be sure they clean for the next guest, something I would never do! But thought I should this time.
