Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Dover

Came in for my daughter's 4th birthday on the 23rd.. asked for six small milkshakes.. then the cold, stone faced lady (..pun intended..) but FOR REAL not very friendly..anyway she busted them out fine and then made the last one a large for some reason even though I didn't ask for it.. thought maybe she was just trying to hook me up since I had ordered so many.. BUT still she CHARGED me for a large as well! Fine.. I said nothing. Paid $40-something. . They were good.. except the large that I didn't ask for because I only wanted a small got knocked on to the floor by one of the kids almost immediately after I got it and do you think the lady offered to make me a new one?! Not at all! Rude! I know it was not her obligation but...customer service .. hello?! We were right in front of her and she didn't even respond at all.. My husband literally had to get up and run to the bathroom to get paper towels to attempt to clean it up.. then had to grab the community trash can and drag it over because bathroom paper towels to clean up a large milkshake?! That's the worst! What a spectacle we must have looked like ! We were throwing in sopping dripping wet paper towels...and we kept running out!!! So after my husband ran to the bathroom a second time for paper towels, I finally I asked the lady if she could assist us in some type of way and she without a word just got out a mop and got the rest up.. just not a super cool experience AT ALL for almost 50 bucks and some average...

Oct 2019 Plastic plastic and more plastic broken spoon out of my ice cream. Oreo cream with Oreo cookies my son got three pieces in his and I got two in mine and it broke my tooth. The lady who seems to run it. It rude older lady who sucks at her job.

So today 02/10/2024 adding to my rating. The staff is rude. Our welcome a hour before closing was “if you want to leave that would be great” seriously so you don’t want my business? Her response “it’s late” the place was literally full of people. It was a hour before closing. Then the older woman who was rude and clearly hated her job over charged every order that we placed and when I questioned the pricing from online she stated that I should just order from online since it’s cheaper. How about you match your pricing and hire people who clearly care about their jobs.

One more chance on this place 9/3/2024. Children are in the bathroom. There’s no toilet paper. Employee walks in clock in goes about her business after I asked for toilet paper. 10 minutes later I asked her for toilet paper again. Goes into the back of her store and says they don’t have any toilet paper. How can you have a restaurant and no toilet paper? Meanwhile the young girl on the toilet has nothing to wipe with. Staff shrugged her shoulder and did not care and walked away.

Place gets worse every time absolutely the last time we will come here....

Customer service has been plummeting down the tubes lately. The dessert I got was delicious, but the attitude to get it was daunting. Cold stone used to be lively with a jolly welcome when you walked in and they would be singing a little jingle when they received tips. It encouraged customers to tip. Now, there is so much attitude and disgust in doing the job. The customer should not have to muddle through this misconduct when they are paying for quality. No one greets you, and they are nearly whispering behind all those cooler fans. So when you ask to repeat, they come back with an attitude. Don’t ask for an additional topping. It’s ruined the employee’s world. They roll their eyes and suck their tongue. Then you don’t know if they’ve heard you bc they don’t address what you’ve said. It’s RUDE! They’d rather sit in the back doing nothing and get paid.

COVID did a number on young people’s academia and math skills. My total was $18.47. I give the girl a $20 bill with 47 cents. She basically argues that she only needs the $20. I had to kindly explain, that I didn’t want change, hence I was giving it to her. She gives me back $3, despite the register displaying $2 🤦‍♀️!!Get her off the register, immediately!
