So very thankful the owner decided to open Sunday evening for dinner. With the limited dining options now available at Bally's Dover, this addition is just what the property needs.
The staff is just EXCEPTIONAL. The are very welcoming and definitely in tune with their customers expectations.
This was a special weekend away for my mother and she was sooooo thrilled with her dining experience.
Our waiter, Danny, went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we had a very enjoyable dinner.
The bread that is served it quite unappealing and as noted in previous reviews, it was very hard and difficult to eat. A softer bread would be much more enjoyable.
The Raw Bar Sample was the perfect start. The clams and oysters on the shell were so delicious and fresh. The colossal shrimp were tasty but unfortunately overcooked.
The Royal House salad is very good. Thankfully we split a salad as it was way too much for a single serving salad. Vinaigrette was very tasty but does not seem to resemble a Red Wine Vinaigrette.
The main courses were the star of the show. My mother had the Prime Ribeye. It was grilled to perfection with a great char. My mother said it literally MELTED IN HER MOUTH. No need for the steak knife as it was super tender. Entree is served alone with sides available. The baked potatoes a HUGE and just DELICIOUS.
My guilty pleasure is ANYTHING DUCK. It is soooo hard to find a restaurant that serves it, much less cooks it to perfection as well.
Beautifully crispy skin and pink on the inside. Anything over Medium Rare just doesn't do the duck justice. Yummmmmm. It is served with a cherry demi glaze. It's quite tart but accompanied the duck perfectly.
Do NOT miss out on dessert. The eclair is MASSIVE and just ABSOLUTELY delicious.
We had a 4pm seating and would highly recommend coming early. It filled up quickly and everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Full bar available and bar seating available too.
Highly recommend and HUGE KUDOS...
Read moreI took my wife on a much-needed date night here with a recommendation from my sister. When we arrived, we pulled up to have our car valeted because the times were posted as 3pm-11pm from Friday-Sunday. We arrived at 6:25pm on Saturday. The person at the valet booth simply looked at me and my wife and said “self park.” That’s it. Nothing else. No explanation as to why services weren’t being provided and no real customer service. Simply, “self park.” Strike one. When we arrived at the restaurant, seating was pretty straight forward and pleasant. We were seated at a corner table. Our waiter was waiting on two larger parties and my heart immediately sank - our little party of two was going to suffer. It did. Another party of five came about 20 minutes after us and was seated next to us yet their waiter had their bread options and appetizers out before we even got bread. Strike two. I ordered a medium steak. When it arrived, it was close to well done. I cut into the steak as asked by the server and there was almost NO pink. He apologized and asked if I wanted to send it back, but the steak was still juicy and very flavorful. Plus I didn’t want to wait an additional 30-45 minutes to get my entree. Strike three. If you’re going to spend between $175-250 for a meal for two, there are certain things that I expect to be on point. This was an okay experience, but I’d rather go to Ruth’s Chris or Del Frisco’s for the overall experience to accompany the food. Or else, I should have simply gone to Texas Roadhouse and listened to “Yeehaws” and be surrounded by peanut dust. I love TRH steaks and I would have spent 1/4 of what I paid for this lack luster experience. I can say we went. And that’s just about it. I won’t...
Read moreI was looking for a good restaurant to eat at for my birthday and the Royal Prime seemed nice in Ballys Dover. Got seated right away which was nice. Order salads and had water. However, it took so long to get a refill on water. Waiter came he was nice, took our order and left. Food came out and that's where the problem began. We don't eat steak so we ordered chicken and salmon. Chicken looked and tasted like it wasn't cleaned and it was rubbery. Like fake chicken it looked plastic. The salmon was tasteless like the put it in the microwave. No lemon, butter, seasoning or a char mark anywhere. Looked for my waiter to ask for at least some melted butter but he was nowhere in sight. But I am noticing everyone in the restaurant has bread on the table. We didn't get bread are we exempt from that offer I wonder. We didn't really eat the food and asked for the check. I was very disappointed in my dinner and need a do over. I see that to be able to have any kind of decent dinner I have to leave Dover. I won't be returning to Royal Prime Steakhouse and I would advise not to have dinner there if your from...
