I am so glad that I found this place! I first visited The Art Center on a Dover Art Walk evening, and I was impressed by the welcoming and lively environment here, and the quality of the artwork on display — a great variety including paintings, prints, sculptures, jewelry and ceramics — realistic and abstract works, traditional pieces and also conceptual thought-provoking works. I immediately thought, I have to be part of this place! I signed up for a membership then, I’m now involved in their Artist in Residency program, and I’m excited to rent a studio within this talented community starting this spring! Rebecca Proctor has created a very special space here— a place to learn, to create, and to network with artists. I recently attended The Art Center's 'ROCK THE HOUSE' Members Exhibition and it was amazing! There was such fantastic diversity in styles and mediums with consistent high caliber talent in every piece. I was particularly struck by 3 standout artists that are must-sees: Rebecca Klementovich with her intense use of color, brush strokes and abstract images that makes me feel happy and lively, and the strong, edgy art that makes one think from Beth Wittenberg and bunkt_. For me, I saw Rebecca's paintings and had to have one in my home. It brings such warmth and happiness every single time I walk past it. I can't wait for the next exhibit to see what all the artist are working on and love that this creative hub is located right in downtown Dover. ...
