Don't go to ER in this hospital they have horrible ER service and they will kill your patient in this ER. I went to ER at 8am due to short of breath and very sever heart palpation a young doctor visited me and ordered for CT scan and blood test and they put me on heart rate monitor during the day that I was there 2 times my heart rate went over 143 and the monitor started to beeping but my horrible Mexican nurse totally ignored me each two times and after 45 minutes that the machine started beeping because of my heart beat and after several times I pushed the button and nobody came to my room I had to take off all wire from myself and go to the nurse desk! They are very lazy and unprofessional and they even don't come to my room to check on me when the monitor started to beeping loudly . just after 45 min the Mexican nurse came to my room and told me its nothing important maybe you moved and the machine started beeping I said no I didn't move and the second time the monitor started beeping from my high heart beat after a long time when several time I called them she came to my room and turned off the monitor and she told me :"its not important thing maybe you have anxiety!" then the doctor came at 1 pm to let me know that my CT scan and tests all are ok and I good to go then I asked him what he prescribed for my heart beat and sever palpation? he surprisingly asked me :"which heart beat? you didn't tell me that you have heart beat too!" I told him:" yes I told you I have heart beat but you didn't listen to me ! and even your vital monitor two times today started to beeping because of my high heart beat!" he said: "really?! so why you didn't tell to the nurses?" I told to doctor:" I told to the nurse but she ignored me and she said maybe you have anxiety or maybe you moved and the monitor started to beeping..." Then doctor left to take the results about the vital monitor from the nurse and then 2 hours later two nurses came to my room one of them was that Mexican nurse and she wanted to gave me a pill I told her:" I don't take pill with empty stomach you didn't give me any food " but she refused ot give me some food to take with the pill and she returned back the pill without give me my medicine! that Mexican nurse wasn't compassionate at all she didn't care and she took the pill outside of room .What a horrible nurse ! hey guys you need to train your nurses and your doctors to treat with the patients as human beings. But for me it seems she just there to kill the time and take money home . she didn't know how to treat patient nice and she didn't care about her patients at all! by the way those 2 nurses told me I have to stay one night in ER to their specialist came and visit me because I need to visit by cardiology due to my heart beat. then 5 min later the young doctor came to me to discharge me!!! I was confused! and he left a prescription on monitor without explain to me what that prescription is ? and then the nurse came to the room and asked me to dress up to walk me out.. after I dress up I find out she left some papers on the chair my name was on it and then I found the doctor prescription for me on monitor . So instead of they handed my papers and prescription to me they left my papers all over the room and they even didn't tell me those papers are mine! so I had to look around that big room and find any papers that my name is on it! what an unprofessional Doctor and nurses Kaiser in Downey has! it was my first and probably last experience with Kaiser hospital ! give you a fever and go to another hospital if you need an ER service Kaiser will not take care of you. They have horrible and unprofessional nurses and doctors in ER.As you see in the picture she peeled my skin by put a very stiff bandage on my arm and they don't know how to get blood! and when she wanted to take out the IV from my arm she did it very badly and left a lot of bruise and pain on my arm. I am wondering how they got their certificates? The only star I gave is for receptionist that she was pretty fast and...
Read more5/4/24 - 5/6/24 Hospital Stay Let me first begin as I approached the security station upon entering ER, employees greeted me, smiled. When I mentioned I could not stand in waiting line due to my heart one immediately went and got a chair to wheel me to the front station and they took me in without much wait. Dr. Levine met with me, very professional, courteous. After tests etc., I then was taken up to 5East room 5301. During my stay, my day and night nurses were Erin Jung, Sylvia Rizzen, Sylvia Crane each one exceptional and greeted me at once and came across professional, friendly with pleasant attitudes. Their day and night supervisors also came to introduce themselves. I know I can’t remember one of their names who worked with Erin Jung, during the day, then there be Amber, Jennifer. The last engagement I had was with Myleen Rosal RN to discuss follow-up with cardiology out-patient unit. She herself was amazing and professional. She insisted she would follow-up with me to assure I followed her instructions, which she did, but I missed her call/ So appreciative of each employee. All nice and courteous. ;Again, all staff in my conversing with them shared positive things about their working environment even food tray delivery very friendly and courteous. Workers felt comfortable talking to me sharing their praises for their working relationships with other employees on their floor and for their interactions with Jason. Comments about how employees are pleasant, get along with one another, good working atmosphere where employees want to come to work. All had positive things to share. Not one negative comment, it amazed me. One last comment about “Jason James.” He seems to be a very humble person who has exceptional ability to manage his team well. He had lots of good things to say about his team and it showed to me the respect his team has for him. Many staff expressed gratitude for their co-workers and team effort and enjoyed working on this floor 5East under ACO, Jason. Many employees shared his ability and skill to manage and care for employees, he also shared good comments about his team. It was certainly clear his leading and management had made a world of difference to how the patients as well as positive working environment on this floor radiated out to me and I am sure many others. I, myself, once employed in management position of clerical staff in State Department can elicit, “The staff is only as good as their management be and that speaks of Jason James and whoever else in position manages this 5E team below him. I give them 5+ stars. Dr. Moreno was very pleasant and caring and attentive. Not rushing to get to other patients. So appreciative. Again: • Positive engagement with this patient. • I was well cared for, listened to, tended to, needs met without wait. • All confident, personable. • Conduct evidenced respect and willing to extend themselves to make patient’s stay positive. • Management promotes pleasant working atmosphere with and between co-workers. • It was clear employees valued their employment and enjoyed their work assignments, which makes an enormous difference in not only workplace but in those being cared for. The employees came across confident in their interaction with me and with each other and holding many strengths in conducting their work assignments.
Being a Kaiser member for many years there are many wonderful employees and then some. Yet, not during this visit. Kaiser ought value and recognize each employee mentioned in this unit. This experience cannot be topped. I was well cared for. I am thankful that during my few days I was fortunate to be attended to by such a wonderful group of professionals and...
Read moreAn ER head nurse named Crystal Matali and Donovan Taylor, Directors of ER are extremely rude, unprofessional and deserve to be written up for their lack of customer service regardless of the circumstances. Crystal Matali grabbed me by my upper arm pretty hard and practically ran me down the long hall out of the ER while waiting for my friend to come back from X-Ray because she accused me of taking things (by the way I never left the room) so she was completely out of line. Considering I was in 2 back braces, 2 knees braces, an ankle brace and could not run that fast she should have never grabbed my upper arm that hard and practically ran me that quickly just to dismiss me from the ER. Then the ER X-Ray lost my friends 18kt gold Crucifix and chain that was blessed by the Holy Father. Two days before that they sent her home without the chargers for her phone and tablet and when I called to get reimbursed for everything they've lost, Kaiser did absolutely nothing. I gave them all the information for the devices and the info about her Crucifix so they could cut a check to cover the cost of replacement but to date, I've yet to see any progress, any resolution or a check for replacing these items. I sent her back to Kaiser Downey the next day because she wasn't well enough to be sent home. They sent her home so they could free up a bed without treating the underlying conditions and she still needed further care. Her PCP of 30 years basically gave up on her by telling her there was nothing he could do for her yet he sets appointments to see her knowing she's bedridden and hasn't once seen her while she was in the Downey facility doctor. (for 5-7 days at a time) within 6 week period. He basically told me he was the middle man when in reality he's her PCP. Needless to say she will be switching PCPs. If this is how your Kaiser dr of 30 years treats his patients, then maybe he should refer her to another PCP if he has no desire to care for his patient any longer and stop setting appointments to see her. If I can drive to the facility everyday to see her surely He can take 15 minutes out of his day to walk 50 yards to see his patient of 30 years especially because he knows she's completely bedridden and in order to see her because she can't make the appointments his nurse sets, he can walk over to the hospital from his office and see her while she's at the facility for a week at a time. If he can't set 15 minutes aside to go see her, he's not a very good doctor.
In my personal opinion I would NEVER become a member of Kaiser. They do not provide excellent quality healthcare, they just shuttle patients in and out like cattle. The food they serve is disgusting and it's the same thing every time - green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy and some kind of meat patty.
I plan on bringing a lawsuit against Kaiser on behalf of a patient who is completely bedridden and has been sent home every single time for the last 2 years to do nothing but lie in her bed and rot instead of sending her to a SNF Unit to get better and get the proper care she needs and deserves. I also plan on personally suing these two individuals for defamation of character and I'm suing Kaiser for inadequate patient care.
My advice to everyone out there, if you want real quality care, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR KAISER, choose a much better...
