Promenade at Downey — Local services in Downey

I went to Benihana's at the Promenade in Downey. The wait wasn't bad at all. We were there to celebrate my nephew's birthday 🎂 and what started out as a group of six grew to a group of 14 while we were waiting for service. Of course since we weren't all originally together we were seated in two different areas. Just by coincidence two tables had just finished and we asked if we could use those two tables. This is when we found out that a manager with care, concern and compassion can make an alright last minute birthday plan turn into a Awesome 👌 BIRTHDAY DINNER. My nephew was overjoyed because he had came in town from San Diego and my other relatives had just come in from Texas. The manager's name is Lathan Bryant. She is an asset to the Benihana Restaurant Corporation. I will return to that restaurant again. As the Chef's presentation and the food was 👍 great. Thank you, Ms....

Hope you like restaurants, because that's mostly what you'll find here. All those delicious chain restaurants you've been wanting to try, all in one place. Oh and the movie theatre. As far as shopping goes, nothing unique here at all. Active is nice to have around, but there's not really any noteworthy shopping experiences to be had here. A collection of not so randomly selected stores, most likely based on the demographics of the area. Not surprising, as the city and the developers probably wanted a sure thing here. Hopefully the success of this shopping center will make it easier for more unique businesses to bet on Downey. Hopefully the city can put as much focus and energy on this party of the city as they have with downtown and North Downey, and create attractive spaces for smaller businesses as well, ones not anchored by a...

I Love this shopping center. I like the parking lot as a lot of shopping centers the parking lots are hard and difficult sometimes dangerous to navigate. I like the fact that this Stopping Center is wide open. I like the stores that are there. I'm so happy they put in this Shopping Center! It's so much closer to me than any other Shopping Center. So far I haven't had any problems with any of the merchants. I've eaten at a couple of the restaurants there at the center, excuse me the Promenade. Hitting to the Promenade is easy for me to because I can take side streets to get there and don't have to take the main highways. Yes I'll be doing a lot of shopping at the Downey Promenade.
