This was a horrible experience from start to finish. I checked in with my service animal, and had already alerted the hotel ahead of time that I would be bringing him. The owner refused me service, and would not listen when I tried to share that Federal Law protects a disabled person's right to travel with their Service Animal. This man CALLED MY DOCTOR, and CALLED MY BANK (supposedly to make sure I had enough money to pay for my stay?) then proceeded to lecture me about disabled people taking advantage of the system (!) and how I need to keep my finances in order? What!? He made the next four days an uncomfortable Hell by following me EVERY time I went outside my room, going so far as to walk up to my car with his arms folded and stand inside my parking spot as I drove away (an attempt to intimidate me? Threaten me?) which is just absurd. I fully intend to file a formal complaint with this chain about this specific franchise, and would NOT EVER recommend this place to ANYONE. The beds were hard, with two flat sheets instead of a blanket, flat sheet, and bottom sheet which made resting very difficult. HORRIBLE...
Read moreMy stay was horrible!! The management was very unprofessional. I am disabled in a wheel chair. The front desk manager doesn't speak English fluently, quick to anger and treated me like I was a common criminal. I stayed one night and in the morning went to dump the trash before attempting to extend my stay for another day.. He and the cleaning lady came charging at me screaming and yelling, grab the trash bag from me,, inspected the contents and threw it in the trash. I let him know I wanted to extend my stay and he refused to take my money, he needed my ID and my mother's ID. He called my mother and told her to come and get your son. My mother convinced him to let me stay another day. When my mother came to check me out at 10am. the next day, he was waiting outside just leering at my mom. He inspected the room before I could get my deposit refunded. I asked him if I could return for another stay in future and he shook his head and threw up his hands. Read moreCalled twice to see if I can check in earlier than 3pm. After letting the phone ring 6 or 7 times twice , finally I got through. The owner I presumed answered. Extremely rude and hung up on me. I called again and was told " what is wrong with you". I booked on trivago for 1 night. Never will I go here again. They did let me check in early ..but terrible customer service. Also noisy all day..like vacumming or machine humming constantly. This place is individually owned by probably an Indian family. Needs better communication skills and customer service skills. Can't tell if it's clean or not. Looks like it but really can't tell. Small rooms. Musty smell. The 2 stars were for the bad customer service . Also I left earlier than planned and did not stay the night. Went to Hilton down the street . Its close to downtown Downey lots if shops and restaurants close by. If u don't mind being yelled at like you are in a 3rd world country then go ahead and stay. Other than that ..no...
