My heart breaks to leave this review but how I was treated today is not okay. Let me start with the good: the older owner guy is so so nice, the ladies that helped me were so nice. I found everything I needed last week, however one long sleeve shirt I was getting for my mother in law, I wasn’t sure if it was going to fit. I had the conversation with the lady helping me who assured me that I can return if it doesn’t fit. Unfortunately it ended up being too big so I was back within 5 days (they allow 7 days for returns) and was talking to the ladies about my return. Unfortunately they told me I can exchange but I can’t return for money. I told her I was told I could, that’s the only reason I bought it, we had this conversation, I wasn’t sure if it was gonna be too big but it was the smallest size. She said I gotten it’s on the receipt, only exchange no returns. At this point, I’m like ok, it’s my bad, I didn’t read that. I listened to the person instead of reading the receipt, sure, it’s upsetting but it happens. A lesson I’ve learned many times but still make mistakes. We’ve been coming to The locker room for years and never ever had to return anything. So I ask the lady, can we do store credit since I don’t need anything right now. She started looking (I’m assuming at this point she’s looking for the owner to ask) and here comes ALEX.. I don’t know who he is, I haven’t seen him before but he looks at me and says NO! No returns! I said ok, I understand, I’m asking for store credit since I don’t need anything right now and maybe I can come back some other time and buy something then. He starts raising his voice (and this is why I decided to leave a review) and tells me All sales are final, we tell that to everybody. No returns! I was shocked! I was not gonna get into an argument with someone that’s yelling at me. It’s very disrespectful, especially when my conversation with the lady was a nice one, and this Alex person wasn’t even part of the conversation, he wasn’t even there last time when I purchased. Just out of the blue, over the counter decided to yell at me. And to be honest, the lady might have had told me the same thing, without raising her voice, and I probably would’ve been fine. I hope that Alex isn’t related to the owner and going to take over the business because of this is the customer service he gives, The locker room isn’t gonna last long…… very disappointed and probably won’t be back for a while, if ever and will be sharing my story with...

Yesterday, January 22, 2019 I visited your establishment as a consumer with 2 other black people, my sister and brother-in-law, and we were treated as if we were going to steal. Your female employee followed us everywhere we went. She already put the cup I was going to purchase on the counter and was holding it for me. When we were looking at the items in the front by the door she was standing right by the counter lending us assistance and answering our questions. When I went to the cups area she came over and I asked her which one was the Patriots. She showed me and I said I will take it. She asked if I would like the bigger one and I said yes. She said she will hold it at the counter until I am ready to purchase and I said okay. We walked around the store looking at the apparel. As we were standing by the shirts having general conversation and looking at them she came over and started fixing the clothes on the hangers. I was asking her questions about the sports team because I dont know anything about sports but my fiance love sports and since he proposed the night before I wanted to buy him something that I could put his engagement ring into. I figured I would get him a Patriots cup and put the ring inside and give it to him when we go to dinner tonight January 23, 2019. We just happened to walk into the store because we needed to kill time until my other family members arrived at Lock & Key Social Drinkery. We were celebrating my sister birthday which was January 21st and my engagement. I left this establishment without purchasing anything because of the treatment. Let your employees know not all black people steal and I will not jeopardize my government job. My sister and her husband will not jeopardize their government job either. Treat your customers with respect or maybe you just do not want to provide services to blacks. I spent $290.00 at Lock and Key last night. There were approximately 5 staff in your store in different area unpacking merchandise including her.
