Our three year old granddaughter can literally play here for 4 hours every time she goes to this playground! She loves the Kerr Park Playground! Pre-Covid, it was just a park, taken for granted! NOW, it's a place of refuge during a difficult time. Where children can actually be who they NEED to be, and that's priceless! These precious Wee Ones must have normalcy, authentic normalcy, NOT the bogus "new normal" being shoved down our throats, but the carefree innocence of childhood where Stella makes new friends each day at the park and they are not filled with fear and anxiety. They're laughing, squealing with delight as they run and chase each other, and talk about dolls and animals. Unhindered by masks, which are harmful to little brains needing as much oxygen they can take in, especially as they exert such life in motion. This park is their haven. The ONLY bummer, NO bathrooms open on site! Open up a bathroom, please!

UPDATE... The playground has been closed for almost two years now since a flood hit. This is getting ridiculous. How long does it take to fix a playground with all of the tax money we pay the city and the county? So, I'm changing my 5 star rating to a three star at this time as of 6-19-23. At least the park has bathrooms open finally while our family plays on a...

Finally came by to see Christmas tree lighting ceremony, checked the schedule for the time and got there 20 mts early to get parking. We checked out the historical house, but way too many ppl Inside the small house at the same time. They had their staff there plus visitors and no one was coming out bc it was too cold to b outside. Also, they set up tables to sell out snacks and drinks which was fun. They had a small concert at the end of the parking lot. Then when it was time to have the ceremony,it was delayed for 10-15 mts, then the people speaking on the microphone decided to keep talking gibberish and not caring for the crowd that was standing in the cold waiting for the lights to turn on.The microphone sound kept cutting off but they didn't cared, just kept yapping like it was a nice summer night. Then there were a few more delays, and finally lights came on. I had enough being cold...

A wonderful little park.

This park is a great spot with things to do year round. No matter what time of year it is it's always great to just walk around here. In the spring and fall it's especially pretty. During the winter they have their tree lighting event with us always nice. During the spring and summer there are several events and you can't forget the farmers market.

It's also a great spot for kids to hang out at after school. There's a skate park, basketball court, and much more to keep them entertained.

If you get a chance to check out the farmer's market before they close in the winter then make sure you do that. They also will have festivals here and occasionally delicious...

It's one of my favorite parks. It's great for adults looking to explore, as well as children looking to play. There's a disc golf course within the park, which is very fun to play. The river is great to cool down in on hot summer days, and it's also stocked with trout every year. You can walk from Kerr Park under the bridge and over into another park. It wraps around and into Downingtown, where you can stop for Rita's, pizza, or grab a drink from a local bar. There's a bunch of great shops in Downingtown. It's a great trail, and I ride it with my onewheel weekly. Struble Trail is right next to Kerr Park, so you can explore plenty of paved trails if you want to.

The park is beautiful with something for everyone right in the heart of downtown Downingtown! Nice walking paths along the river that can fit even the widest of strollers. A big playground for the kids, a brand-new disc golf course, a skate park for all your shredding requirements, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, volleyball courts, gazebos, and a bandstand for the frequent events held in town. There are also a ton of shops and restaurants within a very short walking distance. Be careful where you walk after a heavy rainfall, the open grass fields can easily become entirely saturated with water.
