Okay, this place is horrible, period. The service was a disaster. When we walked in, no one came to greet us like ALL THE OTHER RESTAURANTS DO. I was a bit annoyed, but decided that it was only one time and didn’t let it bother me. It was only when we sat down at our table that I realized our menus where already places on the table. I was eating with my dad, and I was a bit confused. After we decided what to get, my dad had to go up to the counter to tell them our order. We then waited twenty minutes but they didn’t even ask if we wanted a drink. Then my dad (I am ten with my own phone, if you are wondering) had to ask for water. Then we had to wait around 3 minutes for them to finally get it, and GUESS WHAT?! There where no straws! Exciting, right? We had to get our own. My dad and I were very disappointed by now. When he wanted to refill his cup of water, he waited in line for ages until the worker finally came back with water but no ice. Then, he asked for ice and the worker gave it to someone else to put the ice in. After that, my dad soon asked a young woman if she could tell us how much longer we had to wait for our pizzas and chicken wings. She went to ask, but hey! Surprise, she sadly never came back. After some time, we finally got our pizza, and someone told us we would need to wait two minutes for the chicken wings. HOWEVER, WE WAITED FOR 10 MINUTES AND STILL NOTHING!! Then my dad went to ask and aPpAreNTlY you are supposed to get everything yourself. Shame. The ‘chicken wings’ looked more like soggy chicken nuggets. (Image on the bottom.) The inside of them looks like it too. I wished we had given them 13 cents for the tip and made the table as dirty as we could. You really don’t know how happy you can be- when you leave the horrid place. Good job to the owner. Just get a random slice of pizza from the trash can. At least it’s free and...
Read moreI had high hopes for Flippers Pizzeria, lured in by its glowing reviews and close proximity to where I was staying. However, my experience was disappointingly lackluster, particularly with the Triple Pepperoni pizza I ordered. The pizza itself was a soggy testament to mediocrity, soaked in its own grease to the point where any semblance of a crisp crust was a distant dream. For a dish that boasts "triple" pepperoni, I found the topping amount to be no more generous than what one might expect from a standard pizza, perhaps slightly more at best. The sauce and cheese did nothing to elevate the meal, presenting themselves as bland and forgettable companions to the already underwhelming pepperoni.
The only silver lining to this culinary cloud was the Italian side salad, which was fine, and the service, which was notably pleasant and friendly. I was greeted warmly upon entering, and my order was surprisingly ready ahead of schedule. Even when I had to dash back in for utensils and napkins, the staff was accommodating and quick to provide what I needed. Yet, these positive aspects were overshadowed by the profound disappointment that was the pizza. Comparing it to food court pizza would be generous, and that's a sentiment I never thought I'd express about any restaurant meal.
As someone not from the area, I ventured into Flippers Pizzeria with the hope of discovering a local gem. Unfortunately, my advice to fellow travelers and locals alike would be to seek out other dining options. The area surely has more to offer than this...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had a horrible experience here, not once, but twice. Our first visit last month left us waiting for our food for over an hour and a half. Since the food was good, we decided to give them a second chance. HUGE MISTAKE. We visit Orlando monthly, and Saturday was my birthday, so we decided to just order pizza and relax after a long day at the parks. After placing my order at 7:07pm, I called the restaurant at 7:08pm to verify that the wait time listed on the email of 45 minutes, was correct. This was to ensure we wouldn't run into the same issue as before. The young lady who answered the phone confirmed that they were running on time and the order would be ready in 40-45 minutes. We headed over and arrived at 8:02pm to be told that our pizza was not placed in the oven yet and it would be another 15 minutes. We waited. At 8:27pm we were told it still was not done. The staff asked multiple customers around me if they would like a drink while they were waiting or to "snack" on their salads or wings while waiting. They did not say ONE WORD to me. So, I spent my birthday night dealing with RUDE staff and waiting for TWO AND A HALF HOURS (finally leaving at 8:44pm) for a pizza and wings. Not the way I planned on spending my night. Staff should probably be trained that communication and a good attitude would make a world of difference in the world of customer service. We will not be returning again and will NOT be recommending this...
