We had a Birthday party for my daughter. Everything until initial checkin went well. We made a reservation for a total of 3 hours, 2 hour play time and 1 hour private room for guests to have their food and cut some cake.
We were assigned 1 host and our expectation is that they will be with us through out the party and guide our kids and guests through various phases of the program. But the host (Angel) after initial checkin was not found anywhere and we had to run for everything back and forth including getting water, finding about the private room, getting a knife to our cake, having our pizzas to get warm properly and getting enough water to our guests. For all these things, we have to literally run back and forth between their cafeteria and our private room.
We got out private room at 9:12 instead of 9 even though we approached them at 8:50, as they keep cleaning stuff and preparing that room for us.
After all these hassles, while we are distributing cake, at exactly 9:56 pm, a young girl, again not our host asked us that we have to leave in exactly in 4 minutes without any pre-notices and no courtesy to even extend 5 minutes to us and we all forced to leave the room along with our guests. The way that they inform us just 4 minutes before was very rude and not even extended any courtesy of 5-10 min to clear out.
Of all this rush hour, again our host is no where to be found. The host is simply for name sake. When we are naturally upset, the manager came and keep insisting that it is their policy to move guest by closing time and constantly maintaining that we were checked-in time but never agreed that we were provided the private room by 15 minutes late and no HOST was around and never helped us with basic things like providing a knife to birthday cake for which we have to wait in queue at their cafeteria for almost 5-8 minutes.
At the end, the manager Jin simply says that he will provide some 15% discount and that is the only resolution. Even after I repeatedly mention just own their incompetence and say a simply apology, he was saying what else you need, I gave you 15% and thats it. His attitude is like we did what we have to do that we provided 15% which I repeatedly mention I dont need any discount and instead own their incompetence and show some apology. At the end, I was told some alternative HOST was provided and neither me or none of my guests knows about that.
Host also supposed to take our 20 kids for a private dodge ball game. When checked no one knows about it including me and only some 4 kids raised hands that they played dodge ball but not as part of our promised HOST guided activity.
Like I mentioned, we have to make several runs back and forth to the cafeteria to get our stuff. Very rude staff and no minimum courtesy or customer friendly behaviour.
Their jumping area and cafeteria is good. If you are coming as an independent customer without depending much on their staff help or guidance, then it is a decent place. But for private parties, we get hardly and help or information. I never had these kind of issues with a Birthday party host when we had our parties previously with PumpItup, ChuckEChesse,...
Read moreHad a Birthday party there the other day. There were some teenagers there, somewhere between upper middle school and high school who were in the dodge ball pit and were both aiming for kids heads and throwing very hard. Literally half of the party members got hit by these kids. I talked to a couple of team members and without a description they said so and so and so and so is here today and others said "oh". These kids are clearly repeat offenders of these kinds of problems. As basic team members they didn't have the power to do anything and suggested I speak to management, so I went to do just that. After talking to management I was told that they would review the tapes and then go talk to these kids. Now, if you have kids who regularly break the rules, a talking to, is not going to solve the problem. I tried to suggest and let the management team come to the conclusion that some more direct action should be taken but they looked me blankly so I suggested that they remove them from the building. I was told that they would talk to the kids. The kids were spoken too, however, that isn't going to solve the problem, as you can see by the reviews that there are lots of complaints about this very issue. As I was leaving, I spoke to one of the managers again and I was told that the managers don't have the power to kick anyone out only the District Manager does, so I asked for their contact info but I was not allowed to have that so instead I left my contact info. It has now been 1 week since then and I have not heard from the District Manager which tells me that they have no desire to resolve the issue. The team members have little or no say on what goes on there, they can only ask that the people behave, the managers can't kick anyone out and at best can talk to a parent when the child leaves if they manage to see that person leave. The District Manager isn't interested in resolving issues and keeping parties coming as they are more than willing to keep older kids with memberships in the store but loose parties like mine. I suggest if you have kids under 12yrs old, that you not hold any parties here or bring them here as you risk having someone older bully them in one fashion or another and there is no recourse you can take within system as it is. This will be the last time that we go to Rock'n Jump/SkyZone and we will be recommending to all of our parental...
Read moreI was at Rockin jump today for my grandson‘s 11th birthday party. I brought my granddaughter who is nine and the birthday boys cousin when we arrived my granddaughter was already wearing socks that she had from previous visits. She began to jump, and it was quite evident that her socks had no more stick, which was quite dangerous so we went to the front desk and I purchased a new pair of socks for her. I was then told by my daughter that I should not have paid for socks because it was part of the birthday party package. I returned to the front desk and asked for a refund explaining the situation. The front desk staff that I spoke to seemed a little confused and went to find her manager. I also approached the manager, Sarah(sp?) who immediately had a horrible attitude toward me, I explained the situation again and reiterated that we had just bought the socks a short while prior. she asked if I had a receipt and I said no I was not provided a receipt. She said I have to ask for a receipt if I want a receipt and she cannot do any returns without a receipt. I said I saw a receipt come out and I’m sure if you look in the garbage you will see it she said I am not going to dig through the garbage, she then proceeded to walk away towards the desk and I followed her at this point I said I am asking for a refund regardless of the receipt ( BTW it is California state law that you must provide or at least offer a receipt for any item you sell that has sales tax added) she did proceed to perform the return all the while expressing outward anger towards me. I cannot believe another person treats people this way, especially a manager of a business designed for customer service and children. I certainly hope that Sarah the manager can get the training and feedback she so desperately needs for her role. on another note, our hostbfor the birthday party aspect of the visit was beyond amazing, very professional,...
