I really wish that I had remembered to take pictures today! As this was one of the BEST lunch outings that I have had in a very long time! The weather was great, the outside dining area was great!! The food was just what we all wanted it was great!! My parents said their food was great! My sister & my young nephew also really enjoyed their food!! We had a fantastic lunch outing here at Pacific Catch today & I will definitely return to this restaurant! Our server was polite, attentive, fast & got everything correct with our orders, no problems with any of our service today! I enjoyed the atmosphere of the outdoor dining today during the daytime. I look forward to possibly being able to eat here again during dinner time. As it looks like it would be nice to eat here at night too, with the lights, heaters & over coverings. I like that our table was separate from the other dining tables. They have the outdoor tables surrounded by bamboo/plexiglass & bamboo over head for shade. This is why I wish that I would have remembered to take pictures today. When I was 1st looking online for restaurants for my family & I to eat at today (last night) it had to be kid friendly, the seating had to be outside & was going to have to be comfortable enough for both of my parents in their late 70s & me to sit at the table (ie no circle benches, no cement hazards & enough room for us to get up easily out of our seats). The tables were sturdy & chairs were comfortable. Its hard to figure out exactly what places are like online. That's why I'm going to get very detailed here for anyone reading this. Its especially difficult when you yourself are coming from out of town to meet up with the other 3 people who are also coming from out of the area. We were all meeting in the middle. A place between Oakland & Stockton for a small family birthday celebration/lunch date. It's hard to know what you are getting into with any restaurant just based off of the online reviews. I had to find a restaurant that had outdoor seating & dining comfortably for 5 people including a child. This was perfect!! I had to find a place that had food that I wanted to eat today as this was an outing for my birthday lunch. I kept thinking good grilled salmon, but also wanted sushi & grilled veggies. I toggled between not wanting to end up at a restaurant that was too much like Chipotle or Rubio's (eventhough I like those restaurants in general, I just didn't want it to be too much like fast food outdoor dining & food). I didn't really want to be at a restaurant like Chili's, Applebees, BJs or American dining food either. I wanted sushi but a full on sushi restaurant wasnt exactly where I wanted to go either. I wanted to try something new, a restaurant that I had not eaten at before but that had a variety of the foods that I felt like eating. I was torn on what type of restaurant I wanted to be at last night while planning this lunch for today. Then I also was thinking of foods that would also be good for everyone else joining me today! Pacific Catch turns out was the PERFECT RESTAURANT TODAY!! I wanted good grilled fish, veggies & sushi... this restaurant had both! My dad likes chowder soup, & spare ribs (sticky ribs) & fried eggs, they had exactly that for him to eat! My sister is a person who likes to eat lighter more towards vegetarian plates but eats fish & chicken she doesn't like burgers too much & at Pacific Catch she had many items to choose from today, PERFECT! My mom doesn't like foods that are too salty or too main stream, again this was perfect for her too!! My 3.5 year old nephew likes chicken tacos, fish tacos, fries & black beans, he had exactly that & ate a good amount of his plate! Perfect!! So I hope that anyone reading this has as much of a great experience as we did today! As for the people who give restaurants low ratings for calamari umm this place has good calamari! Calamari is calamari! Lemon, sauce, a good outside flavor & crunch that's what this restaurants calamari is & all...
Read moreI have frequented this restaurant a couple of times for late lunch on a weekend and, overall, I do enjoy this restaurant on a personal note; however, I'm very displeased and disappointed about the catering (pick-up) service.
I called to place a large order for a company meeting a week prior to my event. The hostess who took my order indicated that I can pick my order up at 11:30am the morning of my meeting (plenty of time to get to the restaurant, load the platters of food in my vehicle and travel back to the office for set-up).
The morning of my event, I called the restaurant promptly at 11am when their establishment opened and they answer phone calls. I asked specifically about my order and if it would be ready by 11:30am or if I would have to wait. The young lady who answered the phone put me on hold to go check. A few moments later, a gentleman picked up my call and asked if he could be of assistance. I mentioned that I was calling about my order. He asked what he could help me with as if my conversation with the young lady was not conveyed to him. Again, I explained the purpose of my call, asking if my order would be ready promptly at 11:30am or if I would have to wait. He indicated that everything would be ready on time, right at my 11:30 pick-up time.
Well... I arrived at 11:30am, but didn't get my order until 25 minutes later. I stood waiting while the hostess looked, clearly, confused about how to seat incoming customers. After 15 minutes of looming in the lobby area, I asked if my order was coming soon. She walked toward the back of the restaurant where the cooks were prepping food and came back to me, replying, "They're making it right now so it should be a few more minutes." A few more minutes wouldn't have seemed so long if I had only been waiting for "a few minutes." She then turned to her register where she retrieved a receipt and a pen and asked me to sign. Looking at the receipt, it was obviously not my order and when I pointed it out to her, she said, "Oh, I thought you were someone else!" (eyes rolling...)
I finally signed for the correct receipt and the manager, without apologizing for my wait, came over to tell me that he would help me load my vehicle (which I was ready to request at this point anyway).
All said and done, I got my order almost 30 minutes late, made it back to work and was tardy having lunch set-up and ready by noon. Although I will likely eat at this restaurant again in the future, I will not order food for pick-up again. I recommend that if they want to successfully have a pick-up service for catering orders, they:
Tend to the pick-up orders as a priority and make sure they are READY at the time they confirm, and
Create, at LEAST, one parking stall in the front for pick-up service. The parking lot where Pacific Catch is located in isn't large enough to accommodate the demand of customers who shop/eat at the many establishments...
Read moreMy recent visit to Pacific Catch in Dublin, California, was nothing short of extraordinary. Their unique blend of vibrant, fresh flavors, casual atmosphere, and top-tier service makes it a noteworthy destination for seafood lovers and foodies alike.
Upon entering Pacific Catch, I was met with a breezy, coastal ambiance reminiscent of a seaside getaway. The friendly staff, donned in clean, professional attire, greeted me with warm smiles, instantly making me feel welcome.
My dining experience took off with their Chicken Teriyaki Plate, an unassuming name for an entree that is far from ordinary. The chicken, beautifully glazed with a teriyaki sauce, was perfectly grilled—moist and tender on the inside with a slight char on the outside. The sauce had a brilliant balance of sweetness and umami, which highlighted the intrinsic flavors of the chicken rather than masking them.
Accompanying the chicken was a generous portion of impeccably cooked white rice, light and fluffy, making it the perfect base to soak up that delicious teriyaki sauce. The thoughtful pairing not only accentuated the main dish but also served as a calming contrast to the robust teriyaki.
To pair with the meal, I opted for a glass of rosé. This was a brilliant choice. The wine was crisp and refreshing with hints of strawberry and citrus, which played very well with the savoriness of the chicken teriyaki. It was the kind of pairing that makes you close your eyes to savor the symphony of flavors playing on your palate.
Service throughout the meal was attentive without being intrusive. The staff demonstrated a keen sense of timing, understanding when to approach the table and when to give space. Their genuine hospitality amplified the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, Pacific Catch has solidified its spot as one of my top recommendations for dining in Dublin, California. Between the restaurant's relaxing atmosphere, the exceptional food, and the professional service, it's a place that promises—and delivers—a truly enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're craving some delectable seafood or looking for a memorable night out, this is a place you don't...
