Update #4: April 2024 Counters, floors spotless. Peppers completely full, plenty of condiments & napkins. Food was excellent, served hot. Lots of free parking in lot.
Update #3 - November 2023 Still very clean, condiments/pepper bar/beverages well-stocked, bathrooms are typically decently maintained - hard to really keep up with that during high volume hours, but they are still cleaner than most establishments even then. Food is prepared quickly and accurately. It's really nice to get fries that are actually hot! Cooks & counter help work hard, they are friendly and polite. Nice outdoor patio to enjoy during nice weather. No complaints at all. Five stars!
Update #2: August 2023 Looks like this place got updated - new paint, new light fixtures, tables, chairs, automatic paper towel dispensers in the bathroom. We didn't feel that it needed a new look, but it does look nice. More importantly to us is that the staff continues to be super friendly, works efficiently to get our family's meals prepared quickly, and the quality has not gone down at all. Still terribly annoyed by the lack of parking spaces and how small they are, but that is a Persimmon Place issue, and we highly doubt that will change soon if at all.
Update- Our family is enjoying the Impossible Burger. We have added it as protein to our salad instead of animal products. Fries are generously portioned. Restaurant is clean. Don't appreciate guests who aren't wearing masks when they're not eating though.
Always friendly service. Great juice drinks made in house, nice condiment bar with chili, jalapeno, & pepperoncini peppers, along with various name-brand bottled sauces. Wish there were more vegan options, house salad could be more generously portioned. Bathrooms typically cleaner than most fast casual...
Read moreTasty burgers, sandwiches and salad options, good fries, onion rings, lemonades, teas, shakes. And they are really trying to comply with social distancing guidelines and KEEP US SAFE during the pandemic (patrons and their employees —thank you!). The Burgers are cheaper than steakhouse burgers, but better than any actual other fast-food burgers and better quality and more natural ingredients than anywhere for that price. Habit Burger is the best fast food! (I loved In’n’Out in college, but Habit Burger is just better!) And they have salads and perfect onion rings! My son can get a cheeseburger and fries he loves and my husband and I can get a pretty good burger if we are in the mood (I like Teriyaki char with pineapple or BBQ bacon char) or we can get grilled chicken or tri-tip sandwiches. My dad loves their veggie burger, and best of all: a variety of salads I’ll actually eat and it’s fast-food! I like their chicken Caesar with added diced tomatoes. It’s good if you add teriyaki to it too! Their southwest chicken salad is also amazing! Creamy Cilantro dressing. Husband and sister and mom all love the grilled sourdough Santa Barbara with burger patty and avocado. It’s rich though. Enough to split it if you are getting fries/salad. The Persimmon Place shopping center location always gets our order correct. (This has not always been the case at Amador). The one on Redwood Road in Castro Valley is really good too. We moved to Dublin 6 months ago. We have a lot of good memories getting together at...
Read moreLook, this is the first bad review I have ever made. So you might want to read this one. The customer service was terrible, and I am sure you don’t want to eat sweat from a gross guy.
After having a food quality issue at the Habit, corporate reached out to me with an apology and some coupons. I can’t give any names because both employees I spoke to didn’t give me them and weren’t wearing name tags. But one was a young kid, and the other was a manager who was an older white man, very dirty in appearance, and I swear looked like he was sweating into bags of food.
While attempting to hand over my coupons to pay, the kid huffed about how I should have informed him that I was using the coupons beforehand because, as he said, “now I have to push the buttons all over again.” Staring at my coupon but not reading it, he told me that only one voucher could be used at a time (not stated on the coupon whatsoever). I replied and explained that previously the Amador location, happily, could use multiple without complaint. That’s when he turned to his manager, who then leaned over after sweating into bags of food, I kid you not, and grunted. The manager did not look me in the eye or say a word. He just went back to standing over bags of food while wiping sweat from his brow and with a mask hanging around his chin.
Below is a picture of the coupon. Nowhere does it mention the use of one per order. Like I said earlier, the Amador location did it...
