I wish I could give Zero Stars. On Nov. 7th I went in to purchase a new stove & dishwasher. I was told the stove I wanted would have to be ordered & would take a week or 2. That's great I said. 2 weeks came & went so I called Dubuque Appliance. I got their answering machine & I left a message. 2 days later I get a call back & said it would be in 3 days. 3 days came & went & I heard nothing so I called again & left another message because they don't answer their phone. I was told my stove was on backorder & I could come in to pick out one that's in stock. So I did but they couldn't deliver it for a week. I said that's fine. The day it's supposed to be delivered which is now Dec. 15th. I get a call at 8:30am & was told it won't be delivered today because 3 guy's are sick & It would take another week to get here. So at this point I feel like I'm getting the runaround so I cancelled everything & went somewhere else. In 2 day's it will be here. Never again Dubuque Appliance! In response to the owner - Nothing was ever agreed upon. When Dubuque Appliance called on Friday (the day of my delivery) I was told that maybe my stove & dishwasher would be delivered on Monday. I said if my new dishwasher & stove are not delivered first thing on Monday to cancel my order & be refunded Plus that I expected my delivery charge to be waived. Then the person on the phone went silent & the person on the phone says maybe I can do that. Dubuque Appliance never agreed anything. I do not like giving a bad review considering I purchased my very first appliances from Dubuque Appliance 20 year's ago. I understand that people get sick. Read moreNice place 2 get in and out of. Plenty of free parking. Lots of stock to chose from. Decent, competitive prices. Staff is a bit lackadaisical and snooty. They had decent answers to all my questions. So knowledgeable in at least the refrigerator/freezer area. Doesn't matter how much U spend in there though, delivery is not free. I spent $4000+ on a refrigerator/freezer and still had 2 pay for delivery. UPDATE: They absolutely NEVER answer their phones NOR DO THEY RETURN MESSAGES U LEAVE.. NEVER!! I have been having problem after problem with my LG r/f. Like constantly. So I called once again last week. They scheduled me for a service call for Friday 9/19, between noon and 2pm. I rearranged my schedule and appointments. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP NOR DID THEY CALL 2 LET ME KNOW THEY WOULDN'T B HERE!! I HEARD NOTHING! I tried 2 call on Monday to see what the problem/excuse was. I keep getting their answering machine and leaving messages. No one has yet 2 call back. Big surprise there. I guess my next step will B the BBB and the SAG for Iowa and Wisc. If they'd just answer their phones or return a call in regards 2 a message that is left 4 them, their rating could and would, B so much better. Nobody likes any type of business that has poor customer service. That's probably #1 at the top of most consumer's lists for any reason, both pro and con, for taking...or leaving, their needs, and $$$ with any business.
