Miller Hill Mall — Attraction in Duluth

This was hands down the absolute worst service I have ever received for eyewear/contacts. When I arrived there was a heavierset man behind the desk that didn't even look up from his computer when I went to the desk. I stood there for about 8 minutes before he finally looked up and said "someone will be with you" and walked away. Stood there for another 5+ minutes before he even told another store associate that someone was waiting to be helped. However, whenever a young attractive female came in, he all but sprinted to the door to greet them. After I finally got in to see the eye doctor (over 30 minutes after the time I was supposed to be seen), he did not listen to a word I said. When I was asked questions, he would audibly scoff and tell me why I was wrong for doing what I had stated. During the exam, he acted like he had much better things to do and brushed off any concerns I had. While fitting for contacts, I told him the right eye felt uncomfortable and that I couldn't see distances out of either eye, he told me that I was being sensitive and that they would "settle in". I wore contacts for many years and have never had to have contacts "settle" before I could even see. When he tested the contacts for vision, I could barely make out the letters and he said that it seemed like a good fit...? So I left and wore the contacts for four hours and the right became so uncomfortable it was painful to blink. The vision became worse and the two eyes were so dramatically different it made me nauseous and dizzy. About 6-8 months ago I slipped on one of their infamous 3 inch sheets of ice in their parking lot while on break from work going to get my car from the shop across the street and hit my lower back pretty hard. Upon filing a claim with security, the gaurd told me to get a checkup in case there were injuries for my claim. When I tried getting the bill through to the mall, I began getting a run-around with the people in charge. The first several times, the head of security kept insisting I file a worker's comp claim (despite not being a work-related issue) stating that they are the ones who are truly liable. I've called repeatedly to check on the status of my claim and am always told to wait it out for insurance to contact me. They keep stating that there is no else who can help me/check on the claim status and I'm not allowed to contact their insurance provider. I've called corporate and left voicemails, but at this point, I'm stuck in limbo with a medical bill I can't pay now sent to debt collectors harassing me to pay. I'm sure they're really sitting on their hands waiting for me to solve it myself so they don't take a hit for it, if I'm wrong they sure as hell have no proof to provide otherwise. This place is poorly managed regarding ice and snow, having seen the pavement in the lot a whopping 6-7 times in 5 months. Come try the food at the mall in the food court clean and friendly for all ages I just wish the mall manager was friendly sorry to say rude mean shows no respect to the employee and prejudices I lost my job up there because of her instead of her asking me to come speak with her she fire me not even knowing what the over all decisions was on me when I was not guilty.
