KVC Play Duncanville — Attraction in Duncanville

I was very disappointed with my KVC birthday pkg. Total cost was 500. They provided a themed room, pizza, and juice boxes for 20 kids. I booked the nicer room closest to the indoor play area 2wks before my event. Paid my 250.00 deposit. I checked back with them a week before my event to viee my space and check all details. Day of was HELL! They call me 2 hrs before my event to ask me to move my event up 30 min due to a "situation" that had come up. After asking several times no one could tell me what the situation was. We had family coming from all over and this was just not feasible. I go up there to find out exactly what was going on. The very young ladies running it that day had no clue and gave me the number to call the manager. Of course I got no answer. Then I found out they booked a completely different room. No one could answer why?? The room while decorated beautifully...was extremely hot. This is Texas how is the air not working at an indoor playground event space. It was so hot the cupcakes were melting and our entire party was too uncomfortable to stay in or enjoy the room. We complained and was told the air only had one setting a d was really reserved for the play area. What???? We then quickly served the kiddos as they were rushing us out of the room as well as limiting the free play time for our kiddos. There were roaches in the hallway and some condensation dripping from the ceiling. As they rushed us out early even though we were booked until 7 only to accomadate a whole other party who bought the 999.00 plg. They had double booked and overlapped our timeslot and gave away our room. I called the manager 2more times and got no response. I am going to dispute this on my card as they ruined my granddaughters bday. We all had to leave and meet up at our home to properly and comfortably celebrate our baby. Don’t spend no money with these people go to chuckee cheese or anywhere else If I could give 0stars I would Had a party we did a week in advance paid deposit which is in refundable really everything was in refundable I had got 400$ party package Didn’t come with backdrop they told us if we let them know our theme they’ll make it They didn’t told us they don’t have it and not making it then said they’ll put up balloons couldn’t get the colors we asked for when they told us if they don’t got it they’ll get it We weren’t tripping but the day of the party we get there they have a private party scheduled and we could only stay for 45 min this something they should of told us in advance they all parties are booked in advance That’s something should had been brought up before we booked they are money hungry business take your money and treat you poorly They didn’t want to give our money back or put their manager or corporate on the phone. When I got to cussing and talking crazy did they ease up and let us stay until 4 we got there at 2 very unprofessional don’t book here better going to chucked cheese or a home birthday party the play area only good thing no one watching the area anything can happen the Carousel-should definitely have someone watching kids falling off dangerous I can keep going but it’s cool I bet this place don’t last unless they get new employees and management manager talking about call her Monday no today Saturday but don’t go here ps don’t do it don’t waste the time or money anywhere else a better he’ll take the kids to Walmart before...

WHY SAY YOU ARE OPEN ON MONDAYS just to be CLOSED ON MONDAY! This is so sad for our community & people. We try to support black businesses centered around kids but yet the disappointment when planning things for kids is a constant when you can’t even abide by the stated hours. I called the owner Sunday to confirm they would be open for free play in which I invited multiple children to come out & celebrate my son’s bday for a playdate. The owner was clear, they would be open, we could eat there, etc, so we proceeded with our plans. Let’s be clear I didn’t have to call because it says on the door & Google they are open on Mondays but I just know our ppl. Well of course, I arrive 20 mins before my guest got there & yup you guessed it… a closed today sign on the door. No reason given etc. The business phone is connected to a cell so no calls were being answered as well. You can’t imagine how disappointed I was a parent who plans ahead. I was born & raised in this community, & I own several businesses as well, and also teach in the area. When I say this is would never happen at PlayStreet museum in Mansfield or any of the establishments out North for kids. We just gotta do better. Take Monday off the schedule if you can’t be open for the kids & parents who don’t love crowds on your money days (Saturday & Sundays) & who would prefer smaller crowds & a weekday for play.
