Choctaw Event Center — Attraction in Durant

Several places to eat, movie theater, arcade, and bowling alley as well as to many slot machines. I think if you want to spend time with your family there are better places. But it is nice that we have something like this is Durant now. If you can stand the smell of smoke and don’t mind your children able to see people drinking then it’s not a bad place. But if I had kids of my own I would only consider taking them to the movies. It’s the farthest away from the smoke and the machines. Great places to eat, but have to walk through the smell of smoke and drunk people to get to them. But like I said if you can tolerate the smell of smoke it’s a pretty nice place. My family and I had a great time getting to experience our 1st Gun Show in Durant Oklahoma. The New Frontier Gun and Western Collectibles show. All of their collectors were all very passionate about the time period of their collection . There were beautiful pieces and interesting details that we learned about ,from the different types of weapons soldiers carried and cowboys used . Also, where they came from. They had beautiful time period jewelry and Native American clothing and blankets. They had a good place to eat some Indian fry bread tacos and a few other food vendors . Attended the Annual Magnolia Festival. Such a fun venue for family and friends. With vendors galore. There's something for everyone. Except Magnolia trees. You have to be a resident to get a tree unless you play bingo. Bingo winners do get a tree. Food venders offer a variety of carnival types of food.
